The start of a BAD week

???: "DAMN! He got some of that PARKER luck rubbed onto him didn't he?"
Author: "What the FUCK! WADE?! GET OUT OF MY THOUGHTS! Damn Unicorn fucker..."
Deadpool: "HEY! Unicorns are AWESOME!!"

Back to our regularly scheduled insanity... Also I am doing well today so I'm gonna try and do as much writing as I can.

Zane POV

I looked at Helen in shock, I mean how? How? HOW?! "I'm sorry Helen... He's OUT? It hasn't even been a WEEK YET!" I said as I counted up the days, this was only the 5TH DAY after he'd been captured! "...Do we have any idea WHO got him out or how? Wait Professor? I don't know a lot about him yet but would Magneto break him out by chance?" The look on the Professor's face told me no even before he spoke up. "Not unless it was to kill him personally..." The professor explained. Needless to say everyone started moving pretty quickly, messages came in asking for help, explaining more about the situation, apparently a TEAM of 4 had gotten into a SHIELD facility and broken out Purple Man. Apparently there was mention of something vicious, the facility being infiltrated and hacked, as well as a GIANT power house. SHIELD thankfully was able to slow them down, keep them from escaping easily, but now the facility was starting to run low on personnel and soon that team would escape. So we didn't waste any time, the Professor telling everyone to get ready and head for the X-Jet, even he climbed aboard and went with us, the others agreeing to leave Purple Man to me. I took my seat at the very back of the Jet, whispering to myself a new wish quietly as I could.

When we landed... It was chaos, the facility looked like it had been blown apart, torn to pieces, DOZENS of security personnel laying on the ground either in need of medical help or struggling to stay alive. I went to work trying to heal people quick as I could, I used the combo of Red and Blue to create a large sphere of healing. Moving it around I healed numerous people at a time, the others helping me to find the most injured ones first. Speaking of the most injured, there was a few that had claw marks covering them, others with their necks crushed like something had squeezed around them, another set looked like they'd been trampled, finally there were others hit with various projectiles, stabbed, beaten by someone skilled in martial arts, the list felt like it was getting longer the further in we got. I moved through the facility alongside the Wolverine's (both Jenny and Laura), with us was Cyclops (Sarah), Colossus (Penny), Nightcrawler (Kali), Mercury (Cessily), Jubilee and finally Gambit (Revvy), with the Professor coming along and connecting our minds so we wouldn't have to yell out too people.

We started searching for more survivors and where the infiltration team had gone, ended up finding that the Armory had been emptied out as well, who knows where those weapons had gone, but as we finally reached the control room we heard a VERY loud thudding coming our way. The wall suddenly EXPLODED open as a GIANT in red armor stood towering over myself and the team, Penny stepping forward as the russian beauty prepared to fight this new threat. "Juggernaut?! That's not good..." Sarah said through the mental connection, the Professor moving closer towards our position as Jenny and Laura prepared to attack Juggernaut alongside Penny... Or they WOULD have, if something tall and smelly hadn't tackled into Jenny from behind, STABBING something into her as she let out a growl of pain. Laura was quick to slice at the attacker, who leaped off Jenny and stood back away from them. "CREED?! Since when do you work with Juggernaut?!" I heard Jenny growl out, looking at Sabretooth with barely restrained rage. We didn't hear any responses from them, that was about the point we realized they were under Purple Man's control... "I'll deal with Purple Man, You've got these two right?" I asked as Jenny got a big smile on her face. "You kidding? Cutting this bastard up is gonna be a dream come true! The difficult one's gonna be Juggie over there, so hurry back yeah?" With that I took flight and launched myself past them as the fight broke out...

I never saw the grenade getting thrown at the group as I took off, but I heard the explosion happening further from where they were. Kali must have stopped that... I just hoped I'd get this taken care of before anyone got hurt...

(Back with the group, general POV)

Kali heard the beep of the grenade as it flew towards them, drawing her blade she managed to catch and fling it away with the flat side of her swords, just before it blew. "Aww, what's wrong? Didn't like my present?" A man with a skull mask and a white hood came stepping out of a darkened corner, pulling out a sword and shield of his own, wearing white and blue as he looked prepared to kill them. Kali engaged him with her blades right away, trying to keep him focused on her and hold him at bay while the others dealt with Sabretooth and Juggernaut. "Who ARE you? Why would you help FREE the Purple Man?" Kali asked as their swords clashed, the mystery man starting to mimic her movements a bit. "Name's Taskmaster, I'm a merc and I don't give out my clients info." He said as he pushed off the stalemate their swords got into, trying to slice and cut Kali only for her to teleport away. "A teleporter huh? That's gonna make things difficult..."

Meanwhile Jubilee and Gambit had started throwing fireworks and explosives at Juggernaut, trying to blind and disorient him enough for Penny to keep him off balance. Sarah headed for the control room with Cessily, both determined to get the facility back under control. They managed to get the doors open, however they barely got into the room before something METAL swung around and nearly sent Sarah flying, a man wearing a gas mask at a computer terminal turned around slowly. "This job will help fund my research, so I'm sorry but I'll need to put you to sleep for now. I'll just break your necks so you can no longer stand in the way, of DR OCTAVIUS!" With that 4 metal tentacles came flying from his suit, swinging and grabbing at both Sarah and Cessily as they began to dodge as best they could.

(Back with Zane's POV)

I barely had managed to find out WHERE Purple Man was before I saw a large group of people gathered around, armed with what I assume was in the armory. I saw that the cells were all emptied, but these people... these looked like the guards! They must have been under his control, they shouted out "FOR MASTER!" As they charged and fired at me... I was gonna have to get through them first to reach Purple Man... Creating my full number of clones I sent them into the fray, their weapons and abilities clashing against the mind controlled guards, my clones trying to keep from injuring the guards as best they could. As they fought I slid my way through the clones and the guards, slipping past them and heading into the next room, a clone locking the door behind me as I entered. There he was, the Purple Man currently using one of the female guards for his pleasure, eyes closed, not paying attention until the woman was pulled away from him, her lips slipping off where they had been. His eyes snapped open as he tried to shout out a new order, my hand covered his mouth as he finally saw he WASN'T alone anymore. "Hello... Remember me?" I asked as my eyes glowed red, the intensity getting stronger with each passing moment, it took him a few seconds before he tried to swing at me, getting off his chair and stuffing himself back into his pants before trying to attack me again. Yelling for his SLAVES as he put it too attack me, when the door didn't open and no one came to help, he started to get worried.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna blast you like I did last time..." I said as I moved closer, he tried to attack me, I blocked and parried, my fist swinging out in a haymaker as it was covered in Green/Blue energy... The impact SMASHED him into the wall hard enough to BREAK multiple bones, the door starting to error as the attack must have damaged some of the wiring in the walls. As he laid there with what I soon realized was a broken back, I put a hand to his head and held him there, making him look into my eyes. "Congrats, I got something NEW for the SOLE purpose of dealing with you..." With that I activated the new ability I'd wished for on the Jet, the one that would take away his ability to control others for good... Siphon.

I've never activated an option so fast before, I barely waited for the others to appear before selecting option 1. A few seconds later and a strange almost neon green light felt like it was being pulled from his body, with my body slowly pulling it in, absorbing it as my new ability broke down his power. It took a few minutes but when it finally stopped I let him drop to the ground, his body shaking like an addict suddenly going cold turkey, his body trying to do something so desperately that it no longer could. I looked down at him as he struggled to even look at me. "Congratulations, you'll never control anyone again." I explained as he stared at me in terror, slowly realization dawning on him as I began to walk out. A clone opening a door while the guards were slowly coming too. Me walking out past the guards right as Purple Man began screaming in pain, the guards moving in closer as the women began to beat him. As they started Purple Man continued yelling insanely about how he'd control everyone, how he'd control them all, how he would never stop, refusing to believe that his power was gone even though no matter what order he gave, no matter what he did or how hard he tried, his power was well and truly GONE.

Now... to get back to the others...
