What's April Known For ?

"So, you're in charge of looking up notable events Stew. What happens in April ?" Diane asked. They were still basking in the success of the dancing leprechaun but there was no time to rest on their laurels. "Not a lot it seems" Stew answered sadly. "There's St George's Day ?" he suggested. Diane pulled a sour face. "Bor-ing. We've just done a saint's day and anyway, we English never make anything of our patron saint. And what can we find that's sexy and demeaning for Debbi to do in connection with someone who probably never existed anyway and is only famous for fighting a mythical dragon ?"

"Point taken" conceded Stew. "There's that song; April in Paris" he ventured. Diane just glared. "No, well, I don't suppose we can do much with that either" Stew admitted. "Then there's the phrase April showers. Maybe we could fit a shower unit up in reception and Debbi could take a shower down there ?" he tried suggesting finally. "Better" said Diane. "But a bit one dimensional and something of a last resort. Plus, I'm not sure we could arrange the plumbing."

They fell into silence. "I've got an idea for April Fool's Day" Aditty suddenly piped up. "April 1st's a bank holiday this year because of Easter, We won't be at work" Stew pointed out. "Nobody seemed to care that we did the Irish stunt a day late when St Patrick's Day was on a Sunday" countered Diane. "We can easily hold over until the Tuesday. But what can we do to our resident fool ?"

"I was thinking of a fashion show" said Aditty. The other two looked blank. "And that is an April Fool how exactly ?" asked Diane. "You've heard of the children's story, The Emperor's New Clothes ?" Aditty explained. Diane began to grin. "I'm sure you could write a bogus script to be read out to describe various fancy outfits ? And each time Debbi came out she would be totally nude ! We could parade her up a catwalk and back, announce the next costume and out she would come again, still stark naked. It'd be up to you how many costume changes we had. Maybe we could make tiny adjustments like giving her a belt for one time or having a 'bridal costume' and giving her a garter ?"

"Genius Aditty" said Diane, delighted with her protege. "Will she agree ? Will we get it past Jeff ?" Stew was skeptical. "I'll handle that" replied Diane confidently. "The productivity figures are exceptional. Jeff's totally on board with all this now, as are Eamon and the MD. Hell, I'll probably have to fight off Eamon from being the master of ceremonies. She'll whine and kick and scream like she always does but then she'll have to cave."

"I thought for a novelty, the fashion show could also contain an item for plus size ladies and we could rope Carol into it too" suggested Aditty mischievously. Diane laughed. "You really are turning into a woman after my own heart" she told the Asian girl.
