Lenny’s face slammed into the floor, his slight frame thankfully fitting under the unreasonably large desk, in the section where a person’s legs would go. Amazingly, he got where he was hoping without Mara seeing even a toe from him. He wasn’t very quiet about it, though.

“What was that?” the blue-haired girl asked, quickly standing up. “It sounded weird, like… like a body hitting the floor…” The office’s carpet muffled the impact, but Mara clearly could still register the noise. Lenny wasn’t sure whether that said more about her ears, or his incompetence.

Luckily his boss had an instinct for these things. “It sounded like it came from outside! Go check it out! I’m trusting you to handle the situation, if it turns ugly…!” she commanded, her voice grave.

Mara nodded, pumping her fist as she shouted “You can count on me, boss!” before dashing out of the relatively small office.

A minute or so after the door slammed shut, Ann sat back in her chair, sighing “You’re still under there, right?” as she shimmied her panties off. “Cause I’d like you to return the favor for the handie.”
