Seth froze for a moment, wide eyed with fear. The damned thing had snuck up on him without a sound. The only reason he heard it was because it had stopped without trying to hide its presence. If it wanted him dead, it would have been able to kill him with him even knowing. All he would have felt was those claws being rammed into something meaty and important.

Still, he didn't quite trust it. It was pretty much your stereotypical bad-guy minion, so better safe than sorry.

"Just put the message down, back off a bit, and I'll read it. Alright?"

The goblin thing nodded, and gently placed the message down before backing off and stopping.

"Good. Now don't sneak off or anything. I want to keep an eye on you."

It nodded frantically and smiled again.

Swallowing his own discomfort he picked up the message and looked at it. It was, to put it generously, barley legible...
