Against the River

After a few minutes thought, and some time memorizing the location of the secret door, Seth decided to walk against the flow of the river, hoping that this was water flowing down into the cave from a stream or something. He did however promises himself that should it branch off or something like that, he'd head right back, because that would be a hint that it wasn't.

Thankfully, while it took him about a half hour of careful walking, eventually he saw light at the end of the tunnel. Anxiously he speed up and ran out of the hole and into the fresh air.

He wasn't quite pleased by what he could see.

The cave was being fed by a fast running stream, which also seemed to feed into a swamp.

A rough trail seemed to follow it, on the other side, if he could find a crossing, and that trail seemed to lead from a large, evil looking forest and into some scary looking wetlands.

And as he stood deciding, he heard the distant howl of a wolf, it only to make him feel even more uncomfortable.
