Clifftop picnic

“Wow, I would love to have been there to analyze that data,” Tendi said once you finished reporting on the strange effects you and Mariner faced through Lieutenant Torres’s efforts to send us to the current time. “Total species change is an extremely rare effect, I think there have only been ten examples in the past fifteen years.”

“Really? It happens all the time back home,” you shrug while weaving yet another flower into the flower crown you were making. When you could grow flowers and plants at a whim, you tend to learn how to use them. “Erza and Shampoo turn into catgirls and back into humans all the time.”

“Really? Do you think they would let me take some scans,” Tendi eagerly asked with a tricorder in her hands. In the meantime, Rutherford was tinkering with some spare parts and Callie’s phone and a speaker Marie brought.

“And just need a metaharmonic wave inverter here, and boom,” Rutherford exclaimed as he slotted a piece into place and handed the finished device to Callie. She turned it on and had Kyoka plug into it. A second later, the tunes of the Calamari Inkantation started playing from all around the group instead of from a speaker.

The group was currently sitting on a large picnic blanket with a basket opened up and various sandwiches and snacks were spread about, letting anyone grab whatever they wanted. Your group had decided on continuing the picnic just with two more people.

“I don’t think Erza or Shampoo would mind any scans, they wouldn’t see any harm in it,” Ino said, answering Tendi while you had been considering things.

“Yeah you can come around the villa we’re staying at anytime until we go home in three days,” you offer as you place a flower crown on Ino’s head. The flower crown was made from purple Lily of Melai and a light yellow star shaped flower in an alternating pattern of two Lily of Melai and one of the yellows. As you reached out to an empty patch of grass, you briefly used your powers to make a bushel of green and blue flowers.

“Wow! How did you do that?” Tendi asked as she shuffled forward and scanned the flowers with her tricorder. You opened your mouth to explain your magic when Tendi answered for you. “Oh right, Jessica probably got the ability from you…”

“Who’s Jessica?” Ino asked, jumping in immediately like the gossip shark she was.

“My daughter with Mariner,” you replied simply.

“WHAAAAA–”

“Chins down and booty up, I wanna see those cheeks moving!” Shantae cheered as she waved excitedly behind a megaphone. She was standing on a raised platform with a megaphone taped to the front. She was facing a small field where several rows of wire and cables were lined up. On one end, several ladies of varying heights and appearance were lined up.

“Are you sure we have to do this?” Blake complained, crossing her arms. Standing next to her, a Rayla from Dragon Prince nodded in agreement. The two of them were wearing what was essentially a bra and transparent harem pants similar to Shantae’s own attire.

“Definitely! Master’s aunt wants you all to know how to walk, crawl, and lay before he gets back so get to it!” Shantae declared pointing at Blake accusatory.

“Yeah, I’m not going to listen to a 4 inch nothing,” Blackfire rolled her eyes at the shrunken half-genie and turned to walk away only for a hand to grab her arm. Blackfire turned her head and glared at Yunyun who only gave a little smile.

“We only need to do one run and then we can go back to our game. I found this rope that is supposed to be unbreakable,” Yunyun assured Blackfire. Blackfire just stared at her for a moment before sighing.

“Let's just get this over with,” Blackfire sighed.

“–AATT!” A shout sounded over the field.

“That came from the castle!” Yunyun shouted in concern. That was until another shout was heard.

“I have a GRANDBABY!” And suddenly some hidden fireworks were fired and exploded as suddenly servants and slaves started running around in a panic. A nearby speaker turned on and Daisy’s voice came through, “I want to see my grandbaby now! Get the ships ready yesterday!”
