Man number 4

“Of course, he is” – Says Anita as she enters with a young guy.

But, it can’t be, I really freeze when I recognize him. I look at Robbie who is completely shocked and, for the first time, he seems uncomfortable, which is really something considering he is naked and strapped to a machine which can hit his balls.

“Hi Candy” – He says looking at me with a smile, but then his expression gets harder – “and hi, Robbie, long time no see” – He almost spit the words. Then he recovers his former cheerful expression and introduces himself – “Hi, my name is Jesse and I am 25 y.o”.

I still can’t believe he is here. Jesse used to be Robbie’s best friend in high school but he and his family moved when he was 15. As far as I know, he and Robbie never stayed in touch but, judging by their reactions, it seems that something happened between them.

I have to say that I had such a big crush on him, and for a moment I thought he liked me back. He is still as handsome as he used to be even if he had grown a little belly and love handles but I still find him really attractive.

“Oh, so you know each other?” – says Paul – “such a coincidence”.

“Oh, Paul, you have to be the worst actor ever” – I blurt out and I immediately regret it. The audience is laughing hysterically, and Paul seems angry at me, which is no good. I do not want to be in his bad side. He ignores my comment, probably thinking that the producers will edit this. So, I answer his question.

“yes, he was my brother’s best friend but he moved out of the country when I was 14 y.o., so we lost touch” – I explain. I see Jesse’s expression darkens and Robbie looks ashamed.

“Robbie, that’s what you told her?” – Asks Jesse, clearly angry – “Will you tell her the truth or should I?” – It looks like a threat. Robbie just lowers his head in shame.

“Ok, if you don’t speak, I will” – continues Jesse – “Candy, it’s true that we moved but not out of the country, we just moved to the capital”.

“But, that’s only like 20 miles away and there a lot of busses. We could have been easily in touch” – I say.

“You are right, but I told your brother that I had a crush on you and we had a big fight. He told me not to contact either of you again” – Jesse says.

So, Jesse was so close but did not contact me because my brother was overprotecting me, as usual.

“I had a crush on you as well” – I confess – “I never understood why you did not contact us after you left” – I say, fighting my tears – “but I see it was Robbie’s fault”.

In that moment, we hear a loud scream. I look at Robbie and I see that Anita had activated the chinko machine, so it hit Robbie’s balls. It probably was not a hard hit but it took Robbie by surprise so it was probably more painful than it normally would.

“That’s for deciding on behalf of your sister” – Anita says, and the audience cheers for her – “It was not your place to choose for her” – Anita adds. The audience goes crazy and Jesse smiles openly. Robbie, completely embarrassed and still in pain, mumbles an apology “S-o-rry Candy… and sorry Jesse. I missed you”.

I am so furious with him that I do not know what to say so I address Anita instead – “Thank you Anita, he really deserved that”. I look at Jesse who looks really sad.

“After all this teen drama” – Says Paul, trying to regain the control of the show – “what’s your guess, Candy?”.

I had forgotten about the show. Luckily, I do not need to guess. I saw Jesse in speedos several times, so I have an idea of what he is packing.
