Turn the other cheek

You take a moment to be angry, but decide to let it go. It's really not that big of a deal, and there's no point in escalating this kind of thing on your first day. As the class ends and you leave the room, you hear the woman who sat next to you run up behind you.

"Hey! Wait up."

Still mildly embarrassed, you'd rather not stop, but she catches up to you anyway.

"Hey look, what that jerk did wasn't cool, or funny, and you handled it really well."

The compliment catches you off guard, and you come to a stop. "Th-thank you."

"Besides, red undies are hot." She giggles, and you feel the blush return to your face. "Relax! Here, take this." She shoves a piece of paper into your pocket. "Gimme a call sometime. Maybe you can show me what other colors you got."

She gives you a wink, and makes her way to her next class as you stand stunned in the middle of the hallway. Eventually your legs start moving again, but you couldn't say how. Every bit of your brain power is locked on the number in your pocket. Not too much time to think about it though. On to your next class!
