a few months later

Another week, another office party. Here we go.

Luna handed in her notice a few weeks ago but we are still in contact. Ava got a big promotion and we still met up from time to time.

I grab a beer from the fridge and let my eyes run through the crowd. The company has been growing a lot and I can see a lot of unfamiliar faces. Ava would have been here, but she got her period in the morning and is spending the evening with a heating blanket and some chocolate on her couch.

I spot a coworker I haven't seen in a while and walk over. We talk a bit about the company and his current project as our topic shifts to all the new hires we had lately. That is mostly her doing. He lifts his beer and points to a blonde girl talking with another girl from HR. I smile. Sweet Cassandra from HR. I am aware who she is and I checked her out every chance I got. Really? She must have been receiving quiet a lot of bonuses for that, don't you think? I can see her LV bag.

Cassandra is talking to a colleague I haven't seen in a while, since she was pregnant. As she leaves I wave once Cassandras and my eyepaths cross. She smiles as she comes over.

Hey, how are you? I haven't seen you in quiet a while? Damn, her parfume is good but I notice her smell my neck.
Have you seen Jessica? She is finally back after she had her babygirl. I've missed her so much.

Oh I remember Jessica and I knew she was pregnant before the news made round since her boobs were getting bigger.
