Monica Working At Her Desk

Monica was back at her desk, working through some internal accounts. She thought about the Adjuster's cryptic comment, and the weird conversation she had with Hubert. Her mind was wandering, and she wasn't able to focus. She remembered that she needed to check her e-mails. She logged in and scrolled through, nothing important, mostly junk. Then there was the e-mail sent by Marketing. The one Anna warned her not to read. It was titled "To All Female Employees..."

Monica pondered a little bit. It was an e-mail, what could there be to possibly be scared of? While she was in thought, one of the more bubbly employees came up to her. If she recalled correctly, her name was Lisa, and she had no issues with the employee incentive program, gauging by how she acted around the office with her male co-workers.

"Oh, my gosh, hi, Monnie! How are you? Have you seen the latest memo yet?" Lisa's voice was chipper, and her blond pigtails bounced when she walked, among other things.

"Only friends call me Monnie." Monica smiled, but was not amused.

"Aw, come on, wouldn't be great if you were like, always called that though!?" Lisa was oblivious.

"Not really." Monica was still not amused, and veering towards being annoyed at this bimbo.

"Aw, don't be so negative, Monnie." Lisa smiled and patted her shoulder.

Monica wanted to smack her, but that wouldn't have been very nice.

"Did you need something, Lisa? I was in the middle of work." Monica sighed.

Lisa spoke up in some moment of a sudden realization. "O-M-G, you have not seen the memo yet! It's why you're like, such a stick in the mud! Let me show it to you, you'll feel sooo much better, I promise!"

"I'm not a stick in the mud." Monica was a little offended. What would seeing the e-mail have to do with her being or not being a 'stick in the mud' anyways? Monica's thoughts were interrupted by the loud blonde speaking once more, she was behind Monica and pointed to the screen.

"Yeah, like, it'll make you feel really good if you open that!" Lisa giggled.

"Why? What is it?" Monica was still trying to be annoyed, but her curiosity was winning.

"Just open it, silly!" Lisa smiled, and then walked off, her breasts bouncing.

Monica was starting to suspect the e-mail might have some hidden effects on female employees given that encounter she just had with Lisa, but that seems far fetched though doesn't it? Lisa's always been a ditz.

Monica looked again at the unopened e-mail...Should she?
