I've been chosen to become the Queen's bodyguard

When the Sun has risen, I left the home of Miss Ackerman and her daughter with the apprehended criminals. One of them is a dead man now, of course. Luckily, they given me one of their horses and even lend me a cart to transport them.

On the way back into the city, I encountered Doctor Jaeger again. When I showed him the apprehended criminals and tel him why I was hostile to him back then, he thanked me for saving the lives of Miss Ackerman and his daughter and also planning on offering his condolences to them for the **** of Mr. Ackerman in person at the next appointment.

After having a conversation with him, I left for the Military Police's headquarter in Wall Maria. There, I given the other officers there the report about what happened along with the dead criminal and his apprehended friends. When all is done, I simply returned to doing my duty as a member of the Military Police.

A week after that, nothing else interesting happened. I simply patrolled around the town with my partner and some of my coworkers. And as usual, they barely do their jobs, resulting in me being the one who have to take care of most of the matters we encountered.

But then one day, everything changed. My uncle and some of his men arrived with the royal decree that stated that the Royal Family is in need of a bodyguard for their eldest daughter! And surprisingly, they went through such the thorough reviewing about the reports about the performances of each officer. This means that this is most likely very serious.

And to make the surprise even bigger, I am chosen! Well, this is not much of a surprise since the majority of the members of the Military Police here are a bunch of lazy drunkards who love bribes. And when I am chosen, I have **** but to leave since this is an order coming from the royal decree.

Of course, I will definitely missed my dad, my mom, my little sister, my sister's cat and my cousin Levi and his friends like Furlan and Isabel. But hey, this could also mean more salaries for me to send to them. And maybe, I might get to make some connections and see to it if I can move them into Wall Rose at least.

"So... when do I leave, uncle?" I asked my uncle about this.

"As soon as you finished packing up, of course." Kenny said with emotionless expression as he's looking at me.

And so, I left for my house as soon as possible to tell everyone about this.
