Fighting Those Outer Demons

Setting her stuff to the side, Izumi stands up, glancing over at the small crowd forming around them. "Can we maybe talk about this later Kacchan? I swear it has nothing to do with you!"

Katsumi's face contorts further, before she growls and rushes forward, aiming a hand a Izumi. Without much time to react, small crackles can be heard from her palm right before a large explosion goes off in front of her. Izumi is barely able to jump out of the way, the shockwave knocking her off balance as she once again finds herself on the ground. "Do you really want to get in trouble over this? What if you get banned from the work study?"

Katsumi scoffs. "Hah what? The only way I'd get banned is if you squealed, but you're too much of a pushover to do that..." This time, instead of rushing over with her quirk at the forefront, Katsumi tries to make the most of the opportunity of her opponent being defenseless, and rushes her.

Izumi's eyes go wide as the hothead lunges, ready to pin her. She lays on her back and uses her quirk, just a bit at 5%. Leaning back, she plants her hands on the ground and launches forward, practically dropkicking her from the low angle right in the stomach.

"Oof-" Katsumi sputters, spit flying from her mouth as she's launched back across the field. She stumbles, but barely is able to keep her footing as she launches an explosion behind her, the forces at play balancing out and allowing her to slide to a smooth stop.

"Oh you really fucked up now Deku..." Using the adrenaline running through her, she ignores the ache in her stomach, darting forward for another barrage. Izumi jumps to her feet, preparing to defend herself. Katsumi sprints forward, going for an obvious standard punch. Izumi crosses her arms, ready to block, only to find a sudden burst of smoke in her face, followed by an uppercut right to the jaw.

The One For All holder falls back, fooled by Katsumi's smokescreen and taking a direct hit from below. She sees stars and hits the ground hard, everything spinning as she watches Katsumi take yet another step forward. Looking like she's about to take things even further, Izumi tries to block again, her arms covering her face. A drop of sweat runs down her face, until from behind, a hand is placed on Katsumi's shoulder.

Turning around, she sees the face of one of ther only true friends at UA, Jiro, staring up at her. "Come on..." The punk girl says sternly. "She's had enough..." Katsumi's eyes burn, but looking at the pitiful display of her rival, she spits on the ground, lowering her guard.

"Fine, maybe that knocked some sense into her..." The two turn and walk back to the dorms, Jiro making sure to stay behind Katsumi in an attempt to keep her and Izumi separated.

Sitting up and flexing her jaw, Izumi sighs. It's felt like Katsumi has gotten worse and worse lately... like no matter what she does to try and help her she just rejects it and grows even more hate filled. She stands up, wiping the dirt from her clothes and zipping up her bag. The crowd around them starts to dissipate, students going back to their dorms, all except for Mina and Hagakure.The two rush closer, worried for Izumi. Turning to them she sniffles, wiping a couple tears from her eyes with her bruised arm. "*sniff* I- I'm fine..." She glances back in the direction her assailant went, the dorm building she shares with Katsumi. "I don't want to go home though... Could... we still go to the mall?"
