Chapter 16 by SG SG

Now what?

Cleanup and a choice.

Caroline looked across the panting, exhausted women on the floor and the group of silent figures standing docilely in the corner. She thought for a moment before speaking. She instructed Lisa to return all of their memories to them, then addressed them.

"Okay, ladies, I think we've all had some fun here today. So I'll offer you a choice. We obviously can't have you telling anyone what happened here today, so here are your options. We can either remove your memory of this entirely and leave you thinking today was just another yoga session, or we can leave the memory and take away your ability to reference it, communicate about it, or feel in anyway negatively about it or us. What do you think?"

Katy spoke first. "What do you mean, remove our ability to feel negative about it?"

"Just because you can't tell anyone, doesn't mean you might not resent it and seek ****. We can change the way you feel. More specifically, we can remove anything from you, including negative feelings towards us. So what would you prefer?"

While the women considered it, Caroline had Lisa clean up their tracks. She removed all of evidence of sexual activity from both the room and the people's bodies, then removed the memories of the people who hadn't participated in their session. After a few minutes, the four women had come to a decision.

Katy, Jessica, and Alex wanted to remember it but Courtney wanted to forget. Caroline asked her why she'd rather forget.

"I don't like knowing that there are people out there who can do what you do. I hate the idea of my thoughts and emotions being so easily manipulated, and even if you manipulate me to like what happened here, I'll still live my life in fear that a less benevolent person with these powers might do something terrible to me. I don't want any of that complication - it's not worth the memory of a good sexual encounter."

Caroline nodded. "I completely understand. Ok, ladies, get dressed and get ready to be zapped."

They left the room and Lisa concentrated briefly. "It's done," she informed Caroline.

Caroline nodded curtly and made to leave when Lisa reminded her about the receptionist.

"Oh, right. We should make her whole again, shouldn't we?" Caroline said without much interest. "It's odd, not having emotions. I completely forgot about her because we don't need her anymore. But it's the right thing to do, isn't it?"

Lisa nodded. They went to the closet and found the woman in the same position. Lisa made a face when the smell hit her.

"Oh Jesus, she pissed herself. Can I remove that?"

Caroline nodded. "Please do. And go ahead and give her back her mind."

"...and maybe a little interest, since she loaned it to us?" Lisa suggested. Caroline agreed and the woman suddenly yawned and looked around in confusion.

"Where did... what?" she asked groggily. "You... you aren't supposed to be back here! What time is it? Did I fall asleep? What-"

Lisa smiled. "Don't worry about it Chloe. You won't remember any of this. But I think you should check in with your doctor about your diabetes. Something tells me you've seen remarkable improvement."

"Improvement? What are you talking about? Diabetes doesn't-"

Her words were cut off as Caroline and Lisa swiftly left the office, Lisa removing their previous conversation for good measure.

Where to now?
