Overcome with remorse

Kathryn drifted into consciousness, her face buried in something soft, a sweet, familiar scent filling her. Instinctively, she snuggled closer, basking in the moment. Kat sighed into the softness surrounding her, luxuriating in the warmth rubbing up against her. Rays of light filtering through the window announced that it was well past time she should've been awoken. Kathryn knew that she should've already been up and about her responsibilities but something about the comfort she was indulged in made it difficult to move. With ****, she peeled her eyes open.

Kathryn paused at what she saw.

Penny, her long pink hair draped around her in a wild mess, was snuggled into her, the sight of her princess fully naked, her body on display, brought back all the memories of their last night together. It was all wrong. This wasn't a comfort that Kathryn was supposed to ever indulge in, her life wasn't supposed to be filled with soft touches or lazy mornings. She was supposed to be a weapon, someone crafted to protect the princess, the idea that she and Penny could ever be together was laughable. Kat sat bolt upright, her swift movement shaking the princess awake.

"Mmm, Kat." Penny grumbled out, her voice still heavy with sleep. "Come back to bed."

"Princess Penelope." Kat tried to put as much levity into her tone as possible, it was relatively difficult while trying to maneuver the curvaceous woman off of her, especially given that her lower half was having a very reasonable reaction to it. "I have failed you most grievously."

"What do you mean, Kat?" Penny said finally opening her eyes, her deep grey gaze pinning Kat in place. "What's wrong?"

"Penelope, I have wronged you." Kat said, trying her best not to meet Penelope's stare as she maneuvered out from under her. "And in doing so I have wronged the royal family of Sigardia."

Penny reached out with one hand to try and stop Kat, waking up to her childhood friend telling her that she had committed a grave sin was not quite how she thought the morning after their first time making love was going to go. Kathryn was swiftly throwing on her clothes, finding where they had been thrown in haste during their activities last night. She continued to drone on about how she had wronged Penelope somehow, despite all of Penelope's protests to the contrary.

"I am sorry that I have failed you like this Princess." Kat continued on, lacing up her boots as she did so. "You trusted me and I took advantage of your kindness and deflowered you, I shall report to Queen Amelia immediately for whatever punishment she believes I deserve."

Barely able to get a word in edge wise as Kathryn worked herself up into a frenzy about how she had **** herself onto Penelope in a moment of weakness and would gladly fall upon her own sword if it meant that the nation of Sigardia could forgive her. Despite any attempts from Penelope to stop her, Kathryn quickly got dressed before bowing one last time before leaving, the entire time completely unable to make eye contact with her. This left Penny standing naked in her room, still not entirely sure what had happened but she knew that whatever Kat was up to, she would have to stop it before she got sent off to some foreign post where she'd never see her again.

"Goddess damn it." Penelope cursed as she started getting dressed, mind made up to follow Kat and deal with whatever the hell was going on.
