Claire sighed as she sat in bed reading a book on her laptop. She couldn’t believe her company had fired her. Still, there was not much she could do anymore.
She had to just accept that she wasn’t going to get that 6 figure check she had been promised as compensation when she took her CFO position last month.
Claire shut the laptop and groaned. What the fuck was she supposed to do now?
