Chapter 45 by ShadeWriter ShadeWriter

How far does he go?

Pretty far..., Until

“Oooh~”

Raven leaned back, gripping the chair’s arms as she bounced on Cole’s lap. Her full thighs rubbed against his sides as he held her hips to support this position. It was a little uncomfortable with the chair’s size trying to fit the two of them, and the edges of the armrests were starting to dig into her legs. That was gonna leave a mark if they stayed like this for a while, but it was worth it for the look on his face. Perhaps he didn't do this position a lot.

She half expected him to take the offer she gave him so it wasn't shock when he did, but the fact he was so eager about trying to get her clothing off her made it clear how much he wanted it. In fact, if she didn’t shove him back down into the chair, he probably would have ripped her nice outfit off her body and taken her on the desk. That was an enticing thought…, but for a later date.

The furniture seemed rather sturdy, but given this entire place was made to semi cater to them; it better be study. Points for Cupid it seemed.

Rather than let him ruin a good outfit, she had gotten him to let go of her and she simply got her outfit out of the way. Each slowly lost bit of cloth teased him more and more until she was completely in the nude. Her skin flushed a bit as she got up and put her folded clothes off to the side before climbing back into his lap. It didn't take them long to get into the rhythm which had her quickly moaning.

Raven was rolling her hips against him, while he pressed his lips against her collarbone. Any time he tried to move his hands from her hips, she slowly but firmly pushed his hands back down to the armrests. Before resuming her own motions, only a little harder. Her fingers reached up and ran through his hair, before pulling his head upward and kissed him. He responded in kind, pressing his body up against her before she rolled her hips hard again, pushing him back into the chair.

“Mmm, well, I wasn’t expecting you to be this eager still.” She spoke when their kiss broke.

"Well…, you offered. I think I’d be dumb to turn it down." Cole said as he leaned up to give another kiss, "I’m not going to **** you into anything but if you’re forward and willing, I’m taking it. Cause dunno how many more instances like this I’ll get. Wanna make some good memories."

"Makes a bit of sense. Well, you have me in your lap… what are you going to do?" she rolled her hips to help illustrate this point.

"I have something thick in my lap kinda blocking my pants…"

She took the hint and reached down. Tracing her hand over the large bulge in his pants, she undid the fastenings and pulled his garments down just a bit. His dick easily shot up straight now that it was freed. Even after last night, he seemed to have plenty of energy. Ever so slowly, she sunk down on his cock, feeling it spread her wide once more. The pair moaned out until she finally took him entirely before she started to rock her hips against him.

The chair squeaked beneath them as the couple had their fun. Well, Raven had most the fun. Cole wasn’t in a good spot to participate but he did what he could. He could only give weak thrusts from his spot so instead his hands traced over her body. He switched his focus from her neck to her breasts, one trapped in his lips while one of his free hands reached up and kneaded the other. Raven didn't push his hands away this time mainly as she was too busy with her own hands on his shoulders to steady herself.

She felt him trying to speed up as best he could and increased her own tempo. She wanted to cum alongside her 'husband', the pair matched in orgasmic bliss. Her hips sped up as she rolled and crashed against him, feeling his balls slapping between her legs. She was close - so close and she could feel him twitching inside her. It would only be a bit longer until....

Ding dong….

"Fuck!"

She felt his body stiffen with shock and erupt in her. She let out a low moan, partially in disappointment at being interrupted but also so she didn't cry out. She wasn't sure how sound proof the office was. The hot thick cum filling her was a fine distraction from that thought though. . Cole collapsed back into the chair fully with her following, the two gasping for breath. She ran a hand through his hair and pulled closer to kiss him.

When the doorbell rang again.

"We have a doorbell?" he muttered as he tried to sit up.

"I suppose so." she grumbled as she gave him one last kiss, "Let’s clean up…"

Even if she could magic away the 'mess', she couldn't do anything about the smell or feeling left behind if she did. So, Raven summoned up a few towels to help clean the pair up along with some scented wet towelettes.

"Gonna mangle whoever’s at the door." he muttered as he dried himself off and got his pants fixed, "We're closed for the day, what knuckled head is knocking..., then again that mom did..., still gonna give them a piece of my mind."

"You probably shouldn’t. Raven waved at him to come over to the computer.

The store had a few cameras attached to the building and one of them was over the doorway. Pulling up the view on the screen, she pointed at the figures at the door. Four mean we’re there. Two were in plain police uniforms, while another older man wore slacks and a trench coat with the collar popped up. But next to him, looking with a grin at the camera, was a familiar face blocked by shades.

The asshat cop that hit on Raven last night.

“Well…, fuck.”

"You sure they’re here?" Bishop asked, turning to his partner.

"Pretty sure. Husband didn’t seem like he was in a position to travel far considering. Even with his semi recovery in the parking lot." Haze pushed his shades back up onto his nose as he spoke.

"That and the way the camera moved to look at us considering it was just moving side to side a second ago." he gestured with a finger towards the small camera over the door, "They should really have an intercom or something."

He was about to say something back when the door ahead of them unlocked. The dame from the video poked her head out. Even without makeup, the lass was a looker.

"Ah Mr… Black was it? I was not expecting to see you again, and not so soon." she said, her voice rather cold in the face of the police.

"Wellness check m’am. And we’d like to ask a few questions about last night among other things, if you don’t mind. May we come in?" Haze asked as he settled into his 'Mr Black' persona. Which wasn't that different from his usual self.

"Oh yes, please come in from that mist. I’ll get you some tea if you wish."

She opened the door and waved them in. Even in work clothes she had a sort of allure to her in that mix of dress and suit. Bishop had to nudge the two plainclothes into paying attention as they walked their way into the bookshop. It was pretty big and roomy, maybe it had been an apartment before getting gutted for the store. Well not like building inspection was his job.

She led them to a back room away from the book, Well it was more a big supply closet than anything else but it did have a small nook kitchen by the look of it. Calling it a kitchen was being nice though; it was just a small fridge, microwave, and some other small portable heater; just the thing to heat up coffee or a sandwich.

Ever the good hostess it seemed, the woman supplied them each with a chair and a cup of warm tea before taking her own seat.

"Forgive the accommodation; but I thought it would be a little rude of me to the police take the flight of stairs twice just for a wellness check." she explained as the officers made themselves comfortable.

"Eh… I’m thankful myself, knees aren’t like how they were." Bishop muttered as he patted his leg.

"Must be **** on the legs of you and your husband though." Black/Haze said as he took a sip.

"We get by. Besides it’s easier to live on the third floor than use it as storage. Unless you know of workers that are willing to carry crates of books down two flights of stairs." Raven mused as she shot him a glare, "Perhaps if you're looking for a new job."

"Fair enough. I get it." He held up his hands, "Your husband around?"

"Yeah… I am." a voice came from behind them.

Heads turned as Cole walked into the room. He helped himself to a cup of tea and took a seat beside Raven, shooting a glare at Black.

"I sense hostility." Bishop drily said as he looked over the faces of the couple and Mr 'Black' who still wore shades to hide his look. "Is this going to be a problem?"

"Not trying to start trouble myself. I appreciate the help after passing out and have respect for the ****..., but he did make some moves on my wife last night. So I'm a little bristly about talking with him again." He folded his arms as he blew out a huff.

"Fate has odd plans for us. It's not like I had anything to do with you falling over." 'Mr Black' said as he put on a practiced smile, "Feeling better sir?"

"Better than I was in the parking lot. Still a little queasy. Probably gonna eat soup for a day or two." Cole admitted.

"He improved after taking his medication. Just like I thought he would." Raven added.

That’s good. I'd hate to have to report a stiff when it was within my power to stop you from doing something silly." Mr Black said as he nudged Bishop in the side who got the message and started to dig around in his coat. "We just wanted to check ask a few questions."

"Questions? I just got sick from some bad food right?"

"Getting sick from Celestial Skies is extremely rare given their track record Mr McKay. Almost an impossibility really. Without outside actors that is." Bishop finally found what he was looking for and took out a notepad and pencil, "I don’t suppose you got any enemies or grudges against you?"

"Mmmmm," he cupped his chin in thought, "A couple guys from the boxing ring didn’t like me. Beat them in a few fights or rubbed them the wrong way. But that was a good while ago and a whole city away." He explained, "And I dropped out of boxing after a car wreck."

"I think that’s a lot of work for little old me. And it’s not like I killed someone with the wreck either." he finished.

He was thankful about the fact that the pair had been practicing their cover storage and faked history during the evenings. It was something Raven had made them go over just to be safe but given what was happening, her paranoia was actually on the money. Or maybe it was Robin's and thus Batman's 'be ready for anything' mentality that she had picked up.

"He swerved to avoid a transport vehicle and crashed through the guard rail. That was... about a year ago or so." Raven added as she closed her eyes to try and recall, "I think only two members of the gym visited you at the time."

"Yeah well, least you did." he grinned before a cough from the other side of the table came.

"Hate to cut off you flirting before you get started but I suppose you're right. Be a bit much to try and kill someone that just up and left without causing a fuss." Bishop wrote some things down in his notebook. "What about you m’am? Any enemies? Jilted lover maybe…, besides Mr Black here." he gestured with his head over towards his partner.

"You wound me partner." Black leaned back and placed a hand on his chest to help sell it.

"That’d be pre-college. I haven’t heard from him in years." Raven took a sip of her tea and continued, "If that’s your line of thinking, they’d probably be a stalker or other weirdo. No one I know off would do something like that to me or my husband."

Technically there were a lot of people that would do that. But none of them should be in this world..., and her father would probably just smite the entire city if he wanted to do something to her. If he could that is, but he was out of the picture currently. So there's no reason someone in this world should have to poison Cole. At least a targeted poisoning shouldn't go for him.

"Maybe you ticked off someone in the city?" Black suggested.

"Given we’ve been focused on trying to get everything ready for the shop not really? We're also not exactly... sociable." Cole answered, "Rachel prefers her quiet times and I just don't have the energy for big social groups anyway."

"What about these two?"

Bishop reached into a coat pocket and produced a photo before putting it on the table, sliding it over to the pair. It showed a small girl and her mother. A rather familiar looking woman.

"We know of them yes.., but we aren’t exactly friends." Raven started as she looked over to Cole.

"She was knocking on the store door, asking about a school book so we opened early. I think her name is… Maria? And the kid was…"

"Lara. Nice girl, inquisitive for her age." she added, "But we haven’t seen them since we opened. Why? Did something happen to them?"

"They’re okay m’am. But given an incident with them and now you, we’re just trying to see if this is isolated or not." Bishop reached and took the photo back, "Perhaps someone struck out at you cause they thought you were closer than you are."

"Where were you guys on the night of August 9th?" Mr Black asked.

That was the day they took a walk around town and Cole got into the fight with those kidnappers. This made it pretty clear what they were actually probing for though neither of them showed signs of surprise. Raven due to her own experience where as Cole..., well, bluffing was a part of being a good boxer.

"We went for a walk around town." Raven explained, "We visited that Memorial Park, got something to eat, visited an Open Air Market Mall mix..., I think it was Floating Mist Market. I believe we came back home at about Nine or Ten Pm."

"With your unwell husband?" the question hung in the air for a moment before Cole jumped on it.

"It’s not like I have a history of falling over. Just a little queasy, not like I’ll drop dead… and my leg isn’t that bad." Cole answered.

Raven nodded and shot a glare towards Mr Black who wasn't backing down on it.

"Yeah, your wounded leg from the accident? The one you were dancing on last night?" Mr Black asked, looking at the man's leg, "You seemed to move pretty well for an injury like that."

"I can take stairs, walk around town and do some dancing. It's not like I need a cane but when you're in traction for a few months, you kinda lose that will to get back in the ring. Besides I found a better use of my time.

The two men glared at each other. Well, Cole glared, Mr Black's eyes were still blocked by those thick shades and kept his at this point, signature grin on his face. It felt weird talking to this guy, was he even a Cop? The two patrol officers looked the part and Bishop did look like a stereotypical detective, straight out of a TV drama. But this Mr Black guy felt..., off.

"Moving on...," Bishop cut in, turning to the wife, "Can anyone vouch for…"

"No…, we haven’t really bonded with neighbors." Raven answered, cutting him off but she started to dig into her purse, "Would our receipts help, they should have the time on them. Raven, Though I’m not sure I agree with this line of questioning."

"Just tracking movements." Mr Black said with that grin widening, "You seem to have a good head for this. Ever think of taking a test to become a cop? Most people wouldn't think to use Receipts like that."

"Roommate at college majored in Law. Honestly at this point he'd probably suggest for us to stop talking to you." she answered with enough chill in her voice to make even the warm tea feel ice cold.

"Anything else you can think of?" Bishop asked, as he took a few pictures of the receipts.

"Well..., " she tilted her head in thought, "The only thing I can think of is that there was a woman that was trying to scam us. Perhaps she wanted ****? I can check our tapes, see if we have her on the recordings..., we're still fiddling with the security here." Raven admitted as she took out her mobile and started tapping commands to it.

"Scammer…. Oh I know who you’re talking about. Yeah she was trying to stall the line or something to try and get a discount or something."

"Hmmm, couldn’t hurt to follow up. Very least could help with a different problem; we've had a rash of shop lifting and burglary." Bishop said, before adding, "Don't worry though, we'll get to the bottom of that. And whatever happened to you. For all we know it's just some twisted guy trying to do something foul and didn't care who got hit with it."

The two rose up from the table as Bishop took out a small card and gave it to Raven. It showed the name of the city's police, the street the station was on, and on the flipside, a number. He added a 'give us a call if you remember anything, and just email the vids of that woman if you don't mind.'. She nodded as she rose up and walked them out as Cole waved from his seat.

"We thank you for the visit, and next time we hope for you to return as customers rather than for work."

"I hope so too Mrs Mckay. You and your husband have a good day." He gave her a slight bow as he headed out the door. Mr Black followed giving her his own card and a grin before leaving, with the back up grunts following. She just closed the door with a sigh and went back to Cole.

"Think they're onto us?" He asked as he got up from under the table.

"I think they're just putting out feelers. But otherwise they don't want to tip their hand JUST yet. We should be a bit more careful.... what ARE you doing." she asked as her lips took on a small grin.

"Checking for Bugs..., I guess? I dunno, I figured they'd do SOMETHING beside as questions beating around the bush." he fell into the chair next to him, "Still we only got like a week left before we're out of here..., just need to be normal for that long and get out of here."

"You Jinxed it. And I reserve the right to hold it over you when it happens." Raven grumbled.

If there was ONE lesson she ever learned in all her years of being with the Titans; never ASK the Universe to fuck you over like that. It has a sense of humor and bitterness to it.

"So what now?"
