The text is dense. Painfully dense. And dry enough to nearly lull you to sleep. Definitions, terms, legal scaffolding, more overly-specific descriptions of various ways that a person can engage with the app, but nothing even remotely interesting of meaningful to you.
You stopped reading and scrolled faster through it, squinting to read a few words here and there as they rolled across your screen.
The text was fragmented, out of order, with sections redefining or amending other terms and sections constantly. There was no way to be sure what the actual terms of the contract were without painfully combing the entire document several times. And taking notes. And maybe hiring a whole team of lawyers.
You groaned. There was something here and there about User Payment, but you couldn't find where it was defined. Only that there was one, and that it was not negotiable and could be called due. You found nothing about how or when.
Other terms of interest you saw include Designated Agent, Accumulated Vitality, and Contingency Event.
Near as you could tell, you would be responsible to pay something for using the apps powers, and there would be some Agent you'd have to deal with. Continued use of the app and its powers seemed to... claim something called Accumulated Vitality. For what purpose, and if it was accumulated from you or the people you use the power on, you couldn't be sure.
Jennifer's shower turned off. You had only a few minutes before she would return, and you still had other parts of the app to explore.
