A surprise

As you walk out of Silent Vice your mom links arms with you.

“Wasn’t that so fun hunny?”

“Of course mom, I wish you had brought me there sooner.”

She smiles, and you’re pretty sure that was the right thing to say to her.

“So where to now?” You ask.

“I think a quick stop at Bendhover General. I need to pick up a surprise for you, so you’ll have to wait outside.”

“Are you sure I can’t come inside?” you ask, remembering what store is directly across from Bendhover General. Or more importantly, who works at the store across from it.

“Well I don’t want to spoil the surprise,” she says, “I’ll be quick since you’ve been such a good girl.”
