A selfish dare

“Emily, truth or dare?” Jessica asked, seemingly just done with everything.

“Dare…” Emily said hesitantly.

“I dare you to grab us a new bottle!” Jessica said as she held up the empty gin bottle.

Surprised by how much they have already drank tonight, she obliges and gets up from her seat.

“You’re really wasting your turn on this?” Yuri said jokingly.

“Ahh, shut up! My turn, my choice!” Jessica said aggressively.

“But imagine what you could’ve done with that turn of yours. You probably could have dare me to kiss you~” Yuri said in a sultry voice.

“Zip it, or the only thing that’s touching your lip will be this bottle!” Jessica shouted, pointing the empty bottle at Yuri.

As the two bicker, Casandra turns around to tell Emily something. “Make sure to grab the tequila bottle on the dinner table, please.”

Emily politely nods in response. She turns around and heads for the dinner table, walking around the now large pile of clothes lying next to the counter. It’s hard her Emily to imagine that in just a few hours, most of their clothing would be left on the ground and not on their bodies.

It doesn’t take her long to find the bottle of tequila with it being center stage on the counter. She grabs the top of the bottle and lifts it up. Her arms shake slightly as she wasn’t ready for how heavy the bottle was. So, she coddles the bottle like a newborn baby and turns around.

She walks back toward the pile of clothes and the living room smile on her face as she’s about to complete the easiest dare of tonight.

“Hey, can you grab me a bag of chips? I’m starving!” Yuri shouted.

“Oh, sure,” Emily said in response. She turns on a dime, sliding her feet on the floor as she heads back to the table.

“Ohh, can you grab me a water as well?” Sarah asked.

Emily wasn’t sure what Sarah said, so she turns back around.

“Sorry, what did yo—” Emily said. She felt her elbow knock something over off the counter.
