The Goddess of Discord

"Eris!" Wonder Woman shouted to the Goddess, who stood several feet from them, a sinister smirk on her face. "Surrender. You've lost -- this madness ends here."

"Oh, I very much doubt that," Eris taunted Wonder Woman. "I've played my part... even if you break my spell now, my partner is well on his way to achieving victory... Olympus will soon be plunged into chaos."

"That remains to be seen," Kassandra said as she lunged at Eris, striking her with the Spear. Eris fell to the ground, and Diana quickly used her Lasso to bind her, ensuring Eris couldn't escape or summon reinforcements.

"There. That should break Eris' spell... the Olympians should know what to do with the apple," Diana sighed in relief. "But this was almost too easy... you planned for this, didn't you, Eris?"

"As I said, my partner is likely achieving victory as we speak," Eris answered smugly. "I would have loved to have continued messing with your precious Olympian colleagues, but I'm not the one you have to worry about now... ha ha ha..."

Diana frowned. "Joker... he still has the scythe... he's going to slay the gods..."

"Actually, he was only after one," Eris clarified. "I'll give you a hint, Diana: He's not very fond of you..."

"Ares," Diana whispered, realizing Eris' goal. "Joker's after Ares..."

"What would Joker want with Ares?" Lara asked.

Deep down, though, she and the rest of the group did not want to find out.
