Pool - Having Fun

Amber covered her mouth as Brad ran and threw Melissa into the water.

"Dad!" her screech left her mouth before she was submerged in water.

Melissa swam up and looked at her father. "How could you?"

Brad and Amber were laughing. "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist."

Melissa rolled her eyes and looked at her friend. "You find this funny?"

Amber wiped her tears. "I'm sorry."

"You know what, throw her in.”

"No don't."

"Come on Dad, throw her in."

Brad shrugged. "All right."

Amber tried to run away but Brad grabbed her and hoisted her up. She was laughing and squealing s he dragged her closer to the pool.

"Wait, wait, I'm sorry. Don't do it, I'll be quiet."

Brad smirked and held her up. Amber's legs were kicking the air, she was struggling but was having fun. Brad lifted her above his head.

"Okay, ready? One, two."

"Wait, no."

"Three."

"Wait-"

Amber was thrown into the pool, her laughter filling the air as she swam back up and splashed the two.

"I'll get you for this."

"Oh really?"

Amber grinned and swam off and Brad dove in, Melissa swam after her but she was too fast. Amber was laughing as she swam around.

"I'm coming to get you."

Amber shook her head. "Nah, I think you need a break."

Melissa stopped and frowned. "What did you say?"

"You need a break, I'm surprised you can even move."

"Oh I'm going to kick your ass."

Amber smiled and shook her head. Melissa was coming closer and Amber tried to swim away, she wasn't fast enough. Melissa grabbed her foot and pulled her back.

"Hey get off."

"Take it back."

"No."

"Take it back."

"Make me."

Melissa grabbed her and pushed her under the water. Amber struggled before finally breaking free. She came back up and splashed Melissa, and Melissa did the same.

The two laughed before turning to Brad, he was watching them and smiling.

"Having fun?"

"So much fun."

"Dad, come play."

Brad shook his head. "Nah, I'm good."

"Please?"

"Come on dad, it's been ages."

Brad groaned and nodded. "All right, what game.”

Melissa looked around. "Marco Polo?"

Amber looked around. "Who’s it.”

“You are." Melissa smirked.

Amber groaned and turned around putting her hand on her face.

"Okay, are you ready?"

"Ready."

"Ten."

"Nine."

"Eight."

"Seven."

"Six."

"Five."

"Four."

"Three."

"Two."

"One."

"Go!"

Amber turned around listening as she stretched she arms out and searched around. All that could be heard was sound of her wading through the water and the occasional car driving past the house.

“Marco.” She said quietly.

“Polo.” They whispered and Amber quickly spun around and dashed for where she heard Melissa. She missed but she chased the splashes and laughs coming from the girl as she retreated.

"I'm coming."

"Not fast enough."

Amber grinned and continued chasing after her friend. But soon hit the edge of the pool.

“Marco.”

“Polo.” She heard Brad say but there was a delay in Melissa.

“MEL?”

“Marco.” She whispered but Amber immediately got her. She wrapped her arms around her and tackled her. The two girls fell into the water laughing and giggling as the struggled and fought.

They surfaced and looked over to Brad. He had a smile on his face, as he watched them.

"Well, this was a nice break."

Amber rolled her eyes. "You're welcome."

Melissa stuck her tongue out at her friend. Amber laughed and splashed her. The two girls laughed and Melissa closed her eyes and began counting.

Amber quickly dove under and swam towards the other end, when she got there she popped up and watched Melissa turn and try to figure out where she went.

"Marco?” She said

“Polo.” they replied

Amber giggled and slowly dipped under the water and swam up, she popped her head above and splashed some water at Melissa.

She squealed and spun around looking for her.

"Hey, no cheating."

Amber grinned and swam behind Brad, popping up.

"Marco." Melissa asked.

“Polo.” They said and Amber grabbed Brads shoulders.

"What the-"

He began to struggle as Amber held him

And place and a blind Melissa made her way over.

"I've got you." She reached out and touched Brad.

"That was ****.”

"It was ****."

Melissa opened her eyes and saw her father.

"Dad! Oh, I'm so sorry."

Brad chuckled. "It's fine."

Melissa let go and Brad stood up.
