You ask Jake to cuddle

You roll over so you and Jake are now facing eachother. You whisper, “hey are you still up?”

“Am now,” he said.

“Oh, sorry to bug you…I was just wondering…since I’m feeling a little anxious about everything…maybe we could snuggle for a bit?” You were fully expecting Jake to laugh you off and ignore it, but he was actually very kind.

“Hey, there’s nothing to worry about. Come here,” he wrapped his arms around you and pulled your head towards his chest so you were nuzzled and surrounded by his soft, strong body. “I’m right here, and I love you, okay?”

You started to tear up, you hadn’t expected such warm mess from your brother. “Yeah I uh…I love you too Jake.” He used his hand to stroke your hair as the slow rhythm of his breath lulled you to sleep.

In the morning, you woke up still in Jake arms. You could tell he was still sleeping, so you just enjoyed the warmth of his embrace for a while. It felt a little weird being so physically close to him, but also so natural and soothing at the same time. You knew your big brother would protect you no matter the cost to himself.

When he did wake up, his hands gently rubbed your back and head. You pulled away from him a bit so you could bring your face closer to his. Your noses were practically touching now. “Good morning sleepyhead,” you said to him.

“Mmmm, morning,” he replied.

“I think it’s our shower time in 5 minutes, so we’d better get ready.” You reluctantly pulled yourself away from your brother’s arms and got up. Again, you rummaged through some clothes that you’d wear for the day, and picked out some short shorts and a tank top, pretty casual for you.

Jake did the same, and when the bathroom was free, you and him entered to get ready for a shower.
