Last Class of the Day

The rest of the day unfolds like a blur, each class passing by in a string of lectures and assignments. "Riley and Carter," Headmaster Alexander's voice booms through the air, sending shivers down Riley's spine. "Please gather your belongings and accompany me to my office."

The words hang in the air, heavy with implications and consequences. Whispers ripple through the classroom as students exchange curious glances. Riley's mind races, trying to comprehend what could have led to this moment, did Mr. Simmons rat them out afterall.

Headmaster Alexander gestures towards Carter to go inside and indicated for Riley to take a seat right outside the door while he settles himself behind his imposing mahogany desk. His piercing gaze lingers on them, his eyes narrowing with a mix of disappointment and resolve. The silence stretches out, each passing second feeling like an eternity, before he says, "Close the door Riley."

She nods, as her boyfriend looks at her, she closes the door as the Headmasters voice is measured and stern, carrying an air of authority that demands attention. "Carter," he begins, his voice cutting through the stillness like a razor. "I have received some disturbing reports regarding your conduct within this school."
