Mackenzie and Marianne reached the entrance of the college

Mackenzie and Marianne stopped hugging when they heard the sirens of a police car. Marianne followed Mackenzie who sprinted to hide herself behind the next house. Mackenzie and Marianne sighed in relief when they heard that the sound was fading away.
