Training before the meeting.

So the professor and I went our separate ways for now, I knew the time to be ready for and had a clone that would wait outside while I was training, watching the clock in case I started going for too long. Meanwhile I went down to the Danger room to train, set up the time dilation to get as much out of it as I could. With the set up done I went into a Survival run solo, found the world around me change into a section of a city, high walls blocking out the outside world, in the sky I saw lights, like they were markers for where to go to earn extra rewards.

I wasn't gonna waste any time, I started alone with no clones, focusing on dealing with some enemies myself first. The first ones to come after me? Looked like a group of thugs with maybe a brute or two, bats and metal pipe's in their hands as they come charging at me for a fight. I used my fighting style's mainly to deal with them, no need to start with my powers. Shortly after the first group I moved on to attack another, no reason to hold back or avoid enemies right?

Then I remembered the quest to try and get my clones maxed out before the week was over, so I began to use numbers to charge and overwhelm the thugs. Eventually I found a couple marked places, defense points that were buildings being help by enemies. The objective? Take over the building. There were no limits on what I could use to do so. I sent clones out to find other marked locations, found one that acted as a time trial offering a growing cash prize to anyone that could beat me in the time limit, if the thugs failed then I got the money instead. Found another location marked as a headquarters, offering rewards for clearing the entire place and for catching the ones in charge, apparently I could find extra info that would allow me to go after higher level headquarters as well. I went for the time trial and started there, the first 5 minutes was rather easy, sending clones in waves to attack and beat down most of the easy thugs, with the brutes coming at me but unable to make it through the clones. Another 15 minutes later and there was very few thugs left nearby, a titan enemy charging at me only to get jumped as my clones swarmed it.

It took another 10 minutes before the time trial was over, so the time trials are half an hour total at this early level and I netted about 50 grand from this. A surprising amount to say the least, I was quick to gather it into my inventory before moving on to the next objective. Heading for an apartment building I go through the thugs at the door, once inside I start making my way up floor by floor, some of my clones get shot but I replace them as the clones use the different fighting styles I've learned to beat them back. I ended up having to go door to door, breaking them in, beating down every thug hiding in the building. I managed to make it to the top floor only to get a new message, Congratulations you have activated a hidden quest! Objective: Fight your way out. Bonus objective: find a hidden way out.

Oh... Oh that's interesting! Hidden quests and objectives spread around this small walled off part of a city, turned into a massive prison... I wouldn't be surprised if there were hidden bosses as well spread around the area. I walked over and looked out the window, I saw wait, what the fuck? Why are there clown trucks outside? I saw thugs climbing out in droves, normal thugs brutes and titans all, weapons in hand, some with guns, every single one of them had on some clown style mask on their face. I saw a semi truck pull up, open it's doors and start handing out weapons like they were candy. I heard the door in the lobby get blown open by what sounds like explosives, I heard what sounded like a stampede of footsteps practically running up the stairs, the first ones to come charging at me in the back of the 5th floor were some smaller thugs that could move a bit faster.

I caught the first one by with a jumping knee, he was too eager, threw a haymaker that couldn't have hit a barn door. I felt and heard the CRACK of his nose breaking, my other leg stomping down as I came back down, stomping right onto his knee and inverting how his leg bent. He screamed and the others slowed down, eyes wide as they saw what had happened to their friend, they charged at me again and I focused on defense, focusing on countering their attempted strikes. I spent the next 5 minutes breaking limbs and rendering these clowns unable to move, then a brute came up the stairs charging at me as I got grabbed by a couple smaller guys, they held me in place as the brute charged into me, picked me up and ran me through a wall into another room. I watched my health bar suddenly lose a chunk, felt blood in my mouth and drove my elbows directly into his spine just above his shoulder blades. He yelled and let go, dropped to a knee, I covered my hand in Green/Blue hardlight energy and threw it down at his face right as he looked up with my palm facing him.

I watched him suddenly smash into the floor for a moment, before I felt weightless as the floor caved in and I dropped down to the 4th floor. Good thing I had the body of a brute to land on, the last of his health bar breaking as he lost the last bit of health he had. The dust cleared in time for me to catch sight of the 12 thugs surrounding me... "Fuck it" I said before summoning clones one group after another as they charged and started beating the thugs down. May as well use this to train more while my health recovers. "Work together, break them down." I gave my orders to the clones verbally for once, the clones swarming the thugs before starting to charge downstairs and attack the ones below. A group of 4 clones heading upstairs helping to start the search for any hidden way out of the building, I looked around on the 4th floor, my clones fighting off and beating back the thugs the next floor down, not allowing them to come up any further.

I worked my way throughout the rooms, looked everywhere I could, found nothing on the 4th floor, my clones found nothing on the 5th. So my clones **** the thugs back and out to the 2nd floor while I brought my investigation team to the 3rd floor, it didn't take us long to find what we realized pretty quickly was hidden door and when we did? We just broke through it. Found an elevator that went down past the lobby so that's where I took it, the rest of the clones fighting and beating the thugs back down to lobby and slowly forcing them out of the building completely. The entire time they used crippling strikes, killing blows, lethal attacks every step of the way. I stepped out of the elevator to see that I was underground, managed to go through the room I was in to another, where I found a door leading to a passageway with a little water on the floor. I only realized once I stepped onto the wooden flooring that it was barely floating with my weight on it, the entire way was flooded, so I either had to walk carefully or be prepared to swim.

"Tick, Tock, here comes the Croc..." I heard echo off the walls, I watched several floating wooden floors begin to get pulled under bit by bit, only to pop up again a few moments later. I used flight to get my feet off the wood, I saw something move in the water, prepared some power in case it was needed. Good thing too cause a moment later I heard a splash and a roar, a giant man shaped 9ft tall Crocodile man running along the wood looking like he was about to try tackling me. I used my Purple lightning to shock him until he fell into the water, I kept firing it off into the water for about another couple minutes, ten thousand volts shocking the water and continuing too the entire time. "Sure you wanna come out at me again?" I asked, flying to a new spot as I kept my lightning ready to use at a moments notice.

He tried leaping up to where he'd heard my voice from before, I blasted him into a wall and held him there, shocking him more and more, watching as steam came off his body before he slid back down the wall and into the water, I got an EXP notification and got moving, had to make it out of here and continue on. Getting out of the underground was easy from there, I ended up climbing out the only way I could find, a ladder that lead up to some trap door looking hatch. When I got through it and climbed out I found myself in some sort of high class almost snobbish looking club, it took me a minute or so to find out where I was. Just in time for the grunts wearing ski masks to start gathering around, a new quest screen popping up. Congratulations! You've found the hidden route to one gangs Main HQ! Beat back ALL the waves and any bosses that show up in order to claim the most rewards! I read before looking past the screen and up at the sign...
