Internal Post

I leant down to face the hatch of the internal post vent. I lifted it up and reached inside and felt around for my envelope.

D: JINX! JINX! JINX! JINX!

Thaaaat's it... come to papa-

I heard the Postroom door opening.

HUH?!

A: NOOOO! You jinxed it on purpose!!

D: Oh hush, be happy I didn't do it sooner!

NO! NO! NO! Someone's coming in!!

GOTTA HIDE!!

I quickly stood up to hide behind the wall next to the counter, letting the post-hatch close on it's own and accidentally catching the fabric of the arm of my shirt in it as it closed. It stretched the sleeve and the front of the shirt as I tried to hide behind the wall.

WHAT?! NO!!

A: OH THAT POOR SHIRT! I don't know how much more I can take of this!

D: I regret nothing.

A female voice spoke aloud to herself. "Hello, what's this? 'Gone for training.' Guess I'll have to post this lot myself."
