Jane opened the door and saw... No one. She looked around in confusion. At first, her mind raced to Kasumi playing a prank on her. However, this seemed below Kasumi's pay grade when it came to pranks.
Jane closed the door again as she shrugged, turning to walk away again as she wondered who -
*Ding-Dong!*
Jane frowned as she heard the doorbell ring again, turning around to face it, but not answer it. "EDI," she said, "who's at the door right now?"
"Com-...*BZZT!*... It -... *BZZT!*... Ill-... *BZZT!*"
"EDI?" Jane asked, a little nervous now as she eyed the door suspiciously. Biotics flaring up, Jane got ready for any sort of attack that was coming...
The last thing she expected being the sounds of heavy chains scrapping the floor as a large safe phased it's way through the door!
Jane yelped as she stumbled back into an arm chair, putting up a shield just as the safe landed on her coffee table. Or rather, in her coffee table, phasing right through it.
Jane was stunned as the sounds of chains grew louder, looking up to see, much to her shock, a corporeal figure covered in chains walking through her closed door and looking up at her.
"Jane Shepard!" The Spirit bellowed, making eye contact with Jane. "I am here tonight to warn you that you have a chance and hope of escaping my fate!"
Jane couldn't believe this. A ghost. An actual freaking ghost was standing right in front of her! And to make things even more shocking, she recognized who is literal spectre was...
