Chapter 97 by daciasdesire daciasdesire

More calls to make after lunch.

Before meeting the parents.

Two rings and Avery Kim answered Spencer’s call. “Mr President! What an honour Sir. Oh, Lord! There’s a crisis in the situation room!”

“Very funny Avery,” Spencer drawled at his former coworker's instant teasing.

“Have the Joint Chiefs been notified? Seal Team Six is en route.”

Avery swapped her cell phone to her opposite ear and shouldered her way back out of the glass meeting room she’d been in. Her fellow participants were giving her strange looks at her outlandish statements.

Spencer waited a handful of breaths before he decided to continue. “Are we done yet?”

“Oh, Spencer! You're no fun. What’s the point of you even becoming president if I can’t make fun of you?”

“How about making some good in the community?”

“Oh, that’s right, stick to your talking points. You sound just like one of them. Now tell me how you are going to be tough on crime,” Avery couldn’t help but giggle.

“What are you up to?” Spencer asked switching tracts.

“Senator Novak is playing hardball and can’t find any room for my client in the appropriations budget. He wants to send it back down to committee. It will blow out their budget for the next two quarters by 200 million dollars each, let alone putting them that far behind schedule. They’ll lose all first-mover advantage.

“Hmmm,” Spencer thought for a minute. Novak was a third-term senator from Nebraska who had come up around the time Spencer had really been at the top of his game. “Would I like your client?”

Avery knew what Spencer was asking. Did her client's morals match those of the man Spencer had become since leaving D.C. “You would Spencer. I give my word.”

“Ok. Then ask Novak if he recalls a Cindy Kissel from the Aqua Grill in Aruba. That should get the wheels in motion enough for you to do the rest.

“Ahh Spencer! You’re a lifesaver,” Avery cried. “I’ve got to get back inside. He’s been stalling us for three days now.”

“Wait, I hadn’t even told you why I called,” he managed to catch Avery before she hung up.

“Sorry, Spencer. I am the worst.”

“Don’t be silly. I just wanted to tell you that the barn was finally completed is all.”

“That’s fantastic news! I’ll speak to the owner and have Mirabelle ready for transport immediately. Uhh, I need another reason to come and visit right away too.”

Spencer hadn’t known the pony Avery had picked out for Amy was called Mirabelle until that moment. He hadn’t known what to expect of a horse’s name actually. “You’re coming too?” he asked instead.

“Of course. I can’t wait to see Amy’s face when she meets her new pony. Now I really have to go Spencer. I’ll see you soon.”

The rest of the week passed in an uneventful blur. Dani returned to work and Spencer went about his business at home and at the school. The preparations for Spencer’s parents’ arrival on Saturday were in full swing by the following Friday afternoon. Spencer had collected Amy from School and was helping Dani with her last-minute tidy-ups and preparedness. Spencer and Dani had called a temporary halt to their lovemaking while she recovered from any lingering tenderness.

Dani was upstairs in the guest bedroom, the one Glenn and Kathy would be staying in, making sure it was absolutely immaculate. She wanted to turn down the covers and give them a quick airing out so there were no untoward odours at all. Spencer helped her from the other side of the mattress while Amy leaned across the end of the bed. Dani checked the time on her wristwatch. It was getting towards 6pm, the time that Mia Maxwell was due to arrive at the airstrip in Avonwick. Dani had said that she would pick her up when she arrived but wanted to finish what she had started without interruptions.

“Spencer. Would you mind picking Mia up for me and running her over to my house?” Dani asked.

Spencer had no issue with that at all. “Want to come with me kiddo?” he asked Amy.

“I’m going to stay and help Dani,” Amy told him and Spencer was once again appreciative of how well the two got along.

Before he left Dani added, “Would you ask her if she wants to join us all here on Sunday for lunch? I thought it might be nice with the extra company.”

Spencer nodded that he would.

Taking the keys to the Maserati, Spencer drove first towards town and then out again to the small airfield. He was there in time to see a small jet aircraft fly over his head as it approached the runway to land. It touched down and taxied towards the only hanger that had its lights on. Spencer wasn’t surprised when Mia Maxwell was the only person to get off. Spencer watched, captivated again as Mia appeared at the aeroplane door. She was dressed in a long and tight sleeveless dress that had a large slit up the side that parted to show off Mia’s elegant legs. The tight fabric of the dress pushed her petite breasts up into a modicum of bosom and cleavage. She carried a matching pair of travel suitcases, one in each hand. A stewardess followed with two more and then a pilot or copilot with a further matched pair.

Spencer parked a close but safe distance from the jet but hopped out to help Mia with her luggage. He fit them all comfortably in the rear of the high-end SUV.

“Quite a lot of suitcases you have there,” Spencer said when they were both seated in the car.

“Almost all my belongings are over in England still. Now that I’ve found a place to stay I thought I should do some shopping to replace what I don’t have access to. And to be honest, shopping helps to keep my mind off things.”

Spencer made a sympathetic face for Mia. “Well, you won’t find much of that in Avonwick unfortunately. We may be able to help keep you distracted though. My parents are coming up this weekend and Dani wanted to invite you over for Sunday lunch at the house.”

“That sounds lovely. Thank you, Spencer. Please tell Dani I would be delighted to attend.”

Mia’s smooth cultured accent had Spencer’s feeling like he’d just invited one of the English Royals to high tea.

As they drove the short trip into town, Spencer couldn’t help by wind out the engine on his new Maserati. The movement around some tight turns caused Mia’s legs to slide from side to side with the car’s momentum. The split fabric of the dress collected between Mia’s thighs and revealed the dark tanned skin of Mia’s Indian heritage. Spencer found his eyes being drawn more and more to Mia’s flawless skin as they reached the township proper and the streetlight illuminated the car’s occupants.

Pulling up outside Dani’s old house, the two sat in the car without moving for the moment. Mia cleared her throat to speak first.

“Spencer. I believe I might have left an item of clothing at your house the previous weekend.”

Spencer recalled immediately the sheer pair of panties with the hand-stitched red roses. His eyes did a quick take to the folds of Mia’s long dress and the contours of her lap underneath.

“I’ve had nothing to wear ever since,” Mia said as she took a hold of the slit in her dress and moved it across her body… Exposing her brown legs underneath… The padded mound of her ladyhood... And tight creaseless folds of Mia’s entirely hairless vagina…

“Spencer? Did you hear me?”

Spencer snapped back to reality. Mia’s legs were covered and her dress was once again in place.

“Sorry, what?” Spencer asked returning with a shake of his head from split second daydream.

“I said I might left an item of clothing at your house the previous weekend.”

“Oh yes. I found something under the bed when I was cleaning it,” Spencer lied quickly. He'd almost been caught holding Mia’s panties and hid them in his pocket instinctively. They’d since gone out to the shed he kept his kayaks in and stayed concealed there from Dani.

“That’s a relief. I thought for a moment there he’d tracked me…” Mia said before stopping her words.

“Who had what?” Spencer asked, not understanding what Mia was talking about but sensing something wasn’t quite right.

“It’s nothing. Never mind. I’ll collect them this Sunday then shall I?”

With the topic of discussion closed Spencer helped Mia to bring her new belongings inside the home.

At the farmhouse, Dani heard a door opening and then close loudly downstairs. “Spencer, is that you?” Dani called out from the bedroom and downstairs.

“Spencer? Amy?” An older lady's voice called back in response to Dani.

“Grandma!” Amy yelled out at recognising the voice and ran off downstairs to see her grandparents.

The guests have arrived early.
