Lunch Date

"Vicky... Cereal?!" Max asked in awe as she and Victoria stood outside the most elegant cafe in town. "You don't have to go through the trouble."

"Hey! There's only one thing you need to know about dating a Chase: Anyone who does needs to be prepared to be spoiled rotten!" Victoria stated as she wrapped an arm around Max and brought her in close, kissing the top of her head. "Nothing is too good for my girl!"

"I... Maybe just this once."

"Atta girl!" Victoria said as she held Max's hand leading her forward.

Once inside, the two women were sat in a booth in the back as the waitress took their drink orders, leaving the two to talk amongst each other.

Or at least, if one of them knew what to say to the other...

"So... You want to be a photographer?" Victoria asked awkwardly, trying to make small talk. "So, like, for magazines?"

"Well, I was thinking more along the lines of photojournalism." Max replied. "But I could do work for magazines, too."

"That's nice. Maybe you can take a photoshoot of me one day."

"If you want to, sure."

"... Excuse me for a second, please." Victoria said with a chuckle as she stood up and quickly made her way to the lady's room, much to Max's confusion.

"What was that about?" Max asked herself as she brought a hand to her chin as she saw Victoria enter the bathroom.

"Max?!"

Max jumped slightly as she turned to see a familiar blue haired punk rock chick walking towards her.

"C-Chloe?"

"What are you - Nevermind! I'm so glad you're here!" Chloe said as she sat down next to Max.

Inside the lady's room, Victoria entered the largest stall and looked in the mirror... Before slapping herself across the face.

"'Maybe you can take a photoshoot of me one day'?!" Victoria snapped to herself. "What the fucking hell was that, Victoria Chase?! This is your first date with the most wonderful girl in Blackwell that you've been crushing on for months, and who just became your girlfriend this morning, and you're making a complete ass out of yourself! Max is gonna think I'm some kind of pathetic loser!"

Victoria took a deep breath and sighed, looking into her reflection in the mirror. "Look, just be cool. Okay? Be yourself, but be cool about it!"

After steeling her nerves, Victoria left the stall and nervously walked towards the door and stepped out into the main dining room...

"So, Rachel and I... Had a little spat, last night." Chloe said, taking a sip from the glass of water the waitress brought. Victoria's water, Max noted. "We're still together and all, but we're just taking a break until we cool our heads, you know."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Chloe." Max apologized. "I knew how happy she made you."

"Eh, we'll get over it soon." Chloe said with a shrug. "That's kinda why I came over. See, I'm here to apply for a job - Step-dork's idea, not mine. And when I saw you... Well, we used to date and -"

"How. Dare. You?"

Chloe and Max turned to see Victoria, the blonde steaming as she glared down the bluenette.

"V-Victoria!" Max yelped.

"Get lost, Chase!" Chloe said with an annoyed frown. "Max and I are -"

"HOW. DARE. YOU?!" Victoria yelled, getting the attention of the cafe as she slammed a fist on the table. "You have some fucking nerve, Price! Forcing Max to choose your happiness over hers and then waltzing in here and acting like you can just call her back to your side like some kind of lost puppy!"

"I didn't '****' Max to do anything!" Chloe snapped.

"Oh no?" Victoria challenged, "Tell me something, Price. How many dates have you gone on with Max and Max alone? No Rachel! How many times have you made love to her? No threesome bull! And how many times less is that compared to the dates and love-making you had with Rachel!"

"How did you -"

"ANSWER THE QUESTIONS!"

"Why the hell do you even care, Bitch?!" Chloe spat.

"Because she's my fucking girlfriend, that's why!" Victoria shouted angrily.

Chloe blinked a few times before turning to Max. "WHAT?!"
