Chapter 52 by Forcy Forcy

What's next?

Written contingencies and further exploration

Michael's (the MC) POV

You put the marker down as you finished writing on the yet another door, this time on the bottom floor, where they found all the jerry cans full of gasoline and propane tanks full of gas. Then you looked around for a moment before nodding to yourself and deciding that it was probably enough for now, at least for that floor.

So, you headed up the stairs and decided to glance at the couch further down the original reception area, before climbing up the second floor for the first time. When you saw Sergeant Garcia and the newly claimed Laurel kissing each other passionately on the seat as if they had been life-long lovers, you smirked at the sight even as you got harder.

"It would be so easy to start a threesome with them right now and they would certainly enjoy it," The thought crossed your mind as blood flowed to your thickening member.

But soon you bit your bottom lip to snap out of it and shook your head, forcing yourself to remember that you still had things you wanted to set up before continuing with the plan that you had put in motion. So, hardening your eyes instead, you resumed your climb up the stairs, feeling the growing desire to protect your people and to improve their lot in this chaotic environment as much as possible rising, yet again.

When you were almost at the top you found Amelia Barnes on the way down to greet you. You smiled at the gorgeous wife of the man that had made their new plans possible due to his solar-powered drones, and told her that you were done downstairs.

"That's great, sir!" She remarked in an excited tone. "Because we have finally explored more of the top floor and found something huge."

"Is that so?" You asked with a raised eyebrow, feeling curious. "Very well then, Amelia, please lead the way."

She did as asked, looking thrilled as she advanced forward. You followed her along and reached the main hall of the classified storage facility's top floor. It didn't take you long to discover what the excitement was all about.

Your jaw dropped a bit when you saw the hundreds of racks full of buckets. "Are those...?" You trailed off, eyes wide.

Lieutenant Mills turned back to look at him, her triumphant grin wide. "Yes, sir, these are dried emergency food supplies that had been stockpiled here in case of massive natural disaster. I don't think the logisticians who organized this supplied cache had a zombie apocalypse in mind but it will certainly be invaluable for us now."

"Regardless," She went on "every bucket has enough food to last someone an entire month full of meals, and that is if they start eating three full meals a day instead of rationing further. And while I am not done counting, there are easily over 1000 of these buckets in here."

"Oh, yes!" You sighed in relief, feeling like punching the air up in excitement. "Now this will DEFINITELY help us in the long term, even as our group expands in size. Fantastic find, Lieutenant. Great Job indeed," You added with a salute of respect.

LT Mills beamed a smile before saluting in response as her commanding officer.

"Thank you, sir, appreciated, sir," She replied. "But the Stryker will only really have space for two or three of these for our first run back home, if that. We will have to wait for future return trips before taking full advantage of these valuable resources. And that is what worries me, since in our absence, it's not impossible that other groups may make their way to this warehouse and discover the treasure throve to be found inside. And if that happens, there would be a lot less valuable loot for us to claim next time we arrive than there could have been before."

You gave her a knowing smile at that. "I would not worry about that too much for now. Even if that happens, I have been taking some measures to ensure that potential problem turns into a potential solution instead."

Your second-in-command looked curious at that. So, instead of answering you turned to the door that led to the upper section of the large warehouse and brought out your marker. And then, you laid down the same rules you put on the other floors, just in case another group that could arrive later walked past the first claims of ownership and did not read them.

By the time you were done the LT had a look of dawning understanding on her face. "Ah. That should make things easier."

"Indeed." You said with a chuckle.

"Well, you own this building too sir, so it certainly makes sense for you to explain the rules in case any other group finds its way here," Mills said with a slow nod. "That way, they will understand the price to pay in exchange for taking these valuable supplies."

You nodded back, knowing that this was a useful way to cover your basis. "Leave one of the extra radios we found in the building duct taped to the wall of the door, before we leave. This way, it should grab the attention of whoever may get inside to the section of the door where the rules are written. And then, they can call us to our appartment complex to facilitate the trade if it comes to that. With the rules saying that they need to be completely honest in their conversation with us too, we will be able to easily learn what we need to know of them that way too."

"Brilliant plan, sir," Your second-in-command said with an approving nod. "I will get to it soon."

Before you could reply, your own radio started vibrating and you turned it on. As expected, you soon heard that it was Zachary and not the other Sergeants like Foreman or Zhang, who he had asked not to break radio silence just yet if they could help it, so that they could all focus on their respective plans and missions quickly.

"Boss," The closest thing you had to an IT guy said over the radio. "You wanted it quick and simple, so just know that I have found the girlfriend of the new member of our group, put the drone of package-drop mode and give her one of the extra hand-held radios. "You should get Laurel to speak to her so that they can regroup in the warehouse, and then, you can continue with your mission soon after."

You immediately started heading to the stairs at that. "Well done, Zachary. Will do just that. Continue to scout for dangers and zombies in the blocks around us for now so that we can chart a safer path out of here by car. Let me know if you notice something relevant. Boss, out."

And with that you hurried the first floor. As you got closer to Laurel and Garcia, you saw the two new lovers busy having some clearly pleasurable sex on the couch, given their moans as they scissored each other's pussies. You swallowed at that and hesitated for a moment since it felt like such a shame to cut short such a vision of beauty.

"Alas, we have to hurry." You realized.

So, you cleared your throat and wasted no time once you got their startled attention. "We found Kira," You told Laurel. "Now take the radio and tell her where you are as we discussed. It's time to begin the next phase of the plan to rescue your sister from your former gang leader."

A/N: I hope you enjoyed the developments in this one. Until next time.
