They headed for the girls and women’s section and turned down the aisle. Alice began looking at the women’s clothes and was hoping to find some petite clothes that fit her. Unfortunately as she looked a lot of them looked way too big for her to wear.
As Alice looked there, Margaret looked in the girls section. Margaret smirked as she found some adorable outfits that would still fit Alice and put them into the cart. She even threw in some packs of underwear and bras for little girls.
“Alright, Alice. Enough looking, let’s try these outfits on that I have for you,” Margaret said.
Alice gazed inside the cart looking at what Margaret had picked out. They were all embarrassing little girl outfits. With Hello Kitty, Care Bears, My Little Pony, or Disney princesses on them.
Alice just knew she would be teased if she had to go to her senior year wearing those childish clothes. “M-margaret please… can’t we find something for y-young women?”
“All of the ones you’ve looked at are far too big,” Margaret said. “I’m not waiting all day for you to find 2 outfits that fit you. These ones will fit. Let’s go to the fitting room and if these fit, we’ll buy them and you’ll wear them without complaint.”
Alice gulped as she reluctantly followed Margaret to the fitting room.
