"I have returned home, my dearest!" Thorgwen bellowed as she, Gwen, Felicia and Cindy walked into her apartment. The visitors looked around at the apartment, a unique mix of modern amenities and old Norse decor. "And I have brought company."

An attractive brunette came out of a home office, clad in a white tank top and a pair of black gym shorts. "Hey, hon," she said, giving her girlfriend a kiss. "So, who'd you bring home this time?"

"Jane, my darling, meet Gwen, Felicia, and Cindy, visitors from another realm. These brave warriors fought nobly by my side today. My new friends, this is my beloved companion, Dr. Jane Foster."

"Nice to... meet you..." Jane began, trailing off as Gwen removed her mask. "Whoa."

"I know, right?" Gwen said, amused by the surprised look on Jane's face. "I'm sure you've got questions..."

Jane nodded, an eyebrow raised. "A few, yeah. I take it you're the Gwen Stacy of this 'other realm' my Gwen mentioned?"

"Yup. The big difference between us, I guess, is that I got bitten by a genetically altered spider, and -- correct me if I'm wrong -- your Gwen found a magic hammer..." Gwen theorized.

Thorgwen nodded. "Aye. I stumbled upon Mjolnir on a trek through the wilds of the old lands, and I was deemed worthy by its enchantment," she explained. "Both the Allfather and the Odinson have since named me the champion and defender of Midgard, a title I hold with the utmost honor and respect."

"I gotta say, that hammer is awesome. I may have to steal it," Felicia said teasingly.

Thorgwen let out a hearty laugh, clearly amused. "You are most welcome to try, my feline-loving friend!" she chuckled, setting down the hammer and gesturing for Felicia to pick it up.

"Challenge accepted," Felicia smirked as she grabbed the hammer's handle. She struggled and strained, but Mjolnir didn't even budge.

"OK, it's heavier than it looks. Maybe if I've got both hands like this..." she said, once again straining and grunting. She kept at it for several minutes, growing increasingly frustrated as Gwen & Cindy laughed loudly at her efforts.

"Fucking fuck! What the fuck is this thing made out of?!" Felicia growled.

"The uru metal of Nidavellir, the forges of the dwarves," Thorgwen answered, chuckling softly.

"Whatever. I'm tapping out here," Felicia huffed, giving the hammer a frustrated kick. Thorgwen, grinning widely, stuck her hand out and let Mjolnir fly back to it, casually spinning the hammer by her side.

"Oh, so you're gonna flex on me like that? Not cool, dude," Felicia said, a slight grin on her face.

"Be gracious in defeat, my friend. Very few are deemed worthy to wield the power of Mjolnir," Thorgwen said smugly.

"Yeah, Felicia. Nobody likes a sore loser," Gwen teased.

"I'm not sore! I'm just... tired. From all the fighting we did," Felicia shot back.

"'Tis understandable. Those draugr were indeed fierce enemies," Thorgwen agreed. "And you are a most capable warrior, even without the might of Asgard at your disposal."

"I appreciate the sentiment, Thundergirl, but I kinda want that damn hammer even more now..." Felicia admitted.

Thorgwen chuckled. "I'm sure a master thief such as yourself could find a way to abscond with Mjolnir with sufficient planning, Felicia Hardy. But being able to wield it would be another matter. Still, there are an abundance of treasures a woman such as yourself could steal in our Nine Realms."

"Heheh. I bet you say that to all the master thieves," Felicia said teasingly.

"Nay, for I do not often come across thieves such as yourself in my line of work," Thorgwen said, smiling. "But if I did, I would only save such acclaim for those of the highest caliber."

"Damn. You really know how to flatter a girl, don'tcha?" Felicia chuckled, returning the smile.

"So, I take it you've invited our guests to stay here?" Jane inquired.

Thorgwen nodded and said, "Aye, my love. I trust that I am not imposing on you? They are here on a quest of utmost importance, and may be instrumental in helping me defeat Amora."

"It's all fine, babe," Jane assured her. "You know I've learned to roll with these things. Cindy -- Felicia -- Gwen -- welcome to our humble home. I'm sure you'll be busy with whatever it is you gotta do, but if you need someone to patch you up while you're here, let me know."

"Will do, Jane. And, uh, sorry to barge in like this," Gwen apologized. "We really do appreciate you guys letting us crash here for the time being."

"Trust me, this is not the weirdest thing I've dealt with since my Gwen and I got together," Jane said with a shrug. "It might be in the top 20, but that's probably as close as it gets."

"I'm sure we'll find a way to top that list while we're here," Cindy mused.

"I'm sure you will. My girl here always finds a way to outweird herself," Jane said, letting out a soft chuckle. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some research to catch up on. You guys make yourselves at home..."

"Aye. I am most weary," Thorgwen agreed. She set down her hammer, and her body transformed, now resembling the smaller frame of her multiversal counterpart. "And, to be honest, I kinda need a break from speaking like a melodramatic level 28 paladin. I mean, it's fun and all, but too much of it and your mind kinda goes numb..."
