Chapter 48
by
Nasdor
Slow or fast journey back?
Take your time
As you start your journey back to your hometown, you turn once you get a good little distance from the city and look upon the city you were just in and how big it truly is and how you want to come back someday and see more. After you finished looking back at the city of Froi, you turn back in the direction that you need to head in and start walking again.
Your journey is slow and you choose to take your time and take in the sights you did not see on your way to Froi, on the way back. The first night that you have on your journey back is uneventful, you eat and sleep with no interruptions. After that night you get up, collect your things and get back on the road. A couple of days later you are back at the roadside pub/inn that you passed up before. When you get closer to it you notice that there are a lot more people heading your way than there were when you were here before.
As you walk past some of them you hear a few people talking about a town that was attacked by monsters. You know that this can happen granted it does not happen often that monsters attack towns or cities. As you hear this you start to wonder what town that they are talking about, hoping that it is not your hometown.
Up ahead of you are a few people standing talking so you walk up to them and decide you want to ask what town was attacked. Once you get over to them you look at the small group and ask. "Do you know what town was attacked?"
The group looks at you when you ask this question and one of the guys in the group turns to you. "No we have not heard what town was attacked just heard one was."
With hearing this you thank them for the information or lack thereof and get back on your travel.
Do you move faster or keep going the same speed?
