Chapter 8 by ClownGirls

How do the triggers cause havoc?

Psychic and Submissive

With a sigh, he headed for the new floor. With two already finished today, he decided that was his limit. Things could get really out of hand if he did too much at once. All it would take is one guy in the wrong place at the wrong time to ruin everything. He couldn't risk it. "Hello, m-m-master..."

"Oh, right, Toko." He groaned. "Um, you don't have to call me that."

"Whatever you say master... ehehe..."

"Toko, don't call me that."

"Sorry, okay."

He scratched his chin. "Hey Toko, is there any way to meet somebody new here?"

"Huh? N-No... none at all." She blushed. "Are you done with wh-whatever you were doing w-with... Kyoko?"

"Uh, yeah. You can go."

With a licking of her lips, she ran off, doing whatever Toko did. Makoto shrugged, moving on. He figured most people would be upstairs, enjoying the new floor while it was new. As he started up the stairs, he saw Chihiro, and right up her skirt. "Ah, hi Makoto..." She mumbled, unaware of his view.

He tried to ignore it, shaking off his arousal. "Hello, Chihiro." The fact that she wasn't on the roster was still a mystery to him. Right now it didn't seem too important though, maybe Monokuma just decided to spare her. It didn't feel likely, but there were bigger questions on his mind. "Do you know where everyone is?"

"Oh, Byakuya is in the library... I, um, haven't checked the pool."

"Cool, thanks..." He smiled, passing her by. It wasn't appealing to see the rich boy so Makoto decided to check the locker room. It wasn't occupied, and although he could check, he didn't peek into the girls' room. A familiar scene was unfolding in the pool, a race from one end to the other. He didn't have a desire to get soaked again so he quickly retreated.

"Hey, Makoto." He heard as he stepped back into the hallway. "Aw, did you just finish?"

"S-Sayaka... No, I'm just looking around..." Makoto blushed while talking to her. It still felt awkward to speak to somebody so legendary. She had a bag slung over her shoulder that drew his attention. "What do you have there?"

"Well, I was actually going to work out with Hina." The idol grinned. "She said she'd show me the ropes. Jumping up and down on stage is a good exercise, but it always leaves me sore."

"Oh, well that's nice. I just saw Aoi in the pool with Sakura, so..."

She suddenly giggled. "I heard about your, um, accident yesterday. Are your clothes dry now?"

"Y-Yeah, they are." He scratched the back of his head. "I should get going though."

"Hm? Why don't you work out with us?"

"I'm not really the, um... I don't really do that... Oh, and um, you'd be in the girls' room, right? I can't really..."

"Oh, dang it..." She swung her arm across, snapping in discontent. "Oh well, we can talk later. Hina's probably waiting..."

He sighed, waving her off. What Sayaka had told him was still weighing on him. She had nearly formed an entire **** plot, if he hadn't talked to her, somebody might've died. "Wait, Sayaka, tell... tell me what's on your mind."

She froze right outside the door. "I'm excited to spend some time with Hina, I feel I haven't spent enough time getting to know her. I'm doing my best to reach out now. I was in a really bad place a few days ago, but now I feel... optimistic? It's weird, I feel I have to move on and accept things the way they are. But if I really have to spend the rest of my life here, I at least have to get to know everyone if I can."

"I see... well that's good to know." He grit his teeth. Even Sayaka felt she had some hope. Makoto shook his head, watching her pass through the door. Everyone's fate rested on his shoulders. He decided he would do whatever it took to get everyone their happy ending, no matter what the cruel game demanded of him. Tomorrow, he would ramp things up.

How do things ramp up?
