You decide to stay at this motel.

You say to the bus driver, "Thank you, sir. I'm not going to New Jericho. I'd rather stay at this motel across the street."

The driver chuckles and says, “The Avocado Motel. Not the best place. However, I doubt a girl like you can afford to stay in a five-star hotel. Well, I have to go. Goodbye.”

The driver finishes filling the bus with gasoline. He climbs inside the bus and sits in the driver's seat. The bus appears and heads north along the road. For about a minute you look after the departing bus.

You sighed.

Then you crossed the road. You arrive at the motel. You see a worn sign that says "Avocado Motel." This sign also features a faded image of the fruit of the same name. Is avocado a fruit though? You have never had enough knowledge of botany to answer this question confidently.

You slowly approach the front door of the motel. Your heels make a clicking sound with every step you take on the asphalt that covers the ground next to the motel.

You walk into this motel and you look around. You see a table at which a middle-aged man (appears to be about 35 or 40 years old) is sitting. This man is of Hispanic appearance and has a small black mustache and a small goatee. His hair is black and slightly shiny as if he were using men's hairspray. This man is wearing a white shirt and dark blue jeans, with men's black shoes on his feet.

You see this man leafing through some magazine with his hairy hands.

You assume that this man is an employee of the motel.

So you come to the table.

You ask the man: “Hello, sir! Can I rent one room for one day? How much will it cost?”

The man looks up at you with a bored look from his black eyes.

He answers you in an indifferent tone: “Single room. For one day. Price: 20 dollars.”

You pay $20 to rent a room at this motel. so you only have $10 left. The man hands you the key to room 7. He told you that your room is on the second floor of the motel. You take the key and put it in your purse.

Suddenly, you feel your stomach grumbling with hunger. Therefore, you are **** to go to a small grocery store located next to the gas station. You spent your remaining $10 on food and drinks. You brought your food and drinks to your motel room and started eating.

An hour later, you were pleased to feel that the feeling of hunger had disappeared.

But now you have no money again. You have no money at all. Not a single dollar. Not a single cent.

You felt a pang of self-pity. You laid down on the bed in your motel room and you started crying into your pillow. Sad thoughts about your fate filled your weakened mind. This went on for about an hour.

Finally, you calmed down. You went to the bathroom and you renewed your makeup.

Then you went to the first floor of the motel. There you noticed several tables and chairs in a large room near the motel administrator’s desk.

You thought, "These tables are probably there for motel customers who want to eat outside their rooms."

You looked around. you saw that a fat white man was sitting at one of the tables, whose appearance allows you to assume that this man is a truck driver. He is wearing a large red T-shirt, old worn jeans and dirty sneakers. This man appears to be about 45 years old, has no beard or mustache, and has brown hair with small bald patches on his head.

This man was drinking Coca-Cola from a plastic cup and eating a hamburger. He noticed that you looked in his direction and he made a gesture with his hand as if he was inviting you to sit at his table.
