Settling In

"And these are the rooms that we prepared for you," Lifts-Her-Tail said. "I hope you'll find them to your liking."

The girls looked there was a nursery room for Jubilee and Shogo and then a room for Gwen and Jen. They were clean and made up nicely but-

"They're fine but uh," Gwen said hesitantly. "We're not sleeping with Walt in the master bedroom?"

Jubilee smiled. "We all kind of got used to sleeping together lately," she explained.

Penny smiled. "Oh no! You will ll definitely be able to sleep in the master bedroom! But even with the huge bed it's getting crowded. We will have to work out a rotation system soon... but everyone has their own rooms as well."

Jen smiled. "That makes perfect sense. Sharing rooms won't be much problem either."

The girls smile a bit relieved. "Ahnassi thinks this good to hear. In truth there are other rooms and even other cabins and places to sleep but... people are still adjusting to where they plan to bed down, yes?"

Penny nodded. "Merida and Pirotess have recently moved out to a few of the cottages in the woods. This was the room we were holding for Kali and Blake originally before Blake had changed her mind for the cabin. Kali has basically moved into regularly staying in the master bedroom and sharing that room over there with Willow when needs be and Yang has moved into the cabin Kali was sharing Blake." She smiled. "As you can see things are still in a state of flux so we're trying to make sure there are rooms available for future changes in situations."

Pyrrha nodded. "That's why a lot of us are doubled or trippled up in rooms even if some only occasionally sleep there. If these aren't acceptable we'll find ones that definitely are. There are also bunkhouse, other cabins, cottages and even houses if you'd like some space but we assumed..." she blushed. "Well we assumed that you'd want to be near Walter with us... but there is the other wing and apparently a ton of rooms down below as well. Sorry if we got it wrong-"

Jubilee smiled. "Not at all!" She see Gwen and Jen both nod. "We definitely want to be close to Walt and all of you!"

"Down bellow?" Gwen asked curious.

T3-M4 beeped and chirped while Ada who had taken to wearing a "maid uniform" consisting of an apron and headress when helping around the main house nodded. "Under the main structure is a cellar and below that are other areas including Master Walters laboratories and certain workshops, Curie's infirmary and droid/robotics labs and facilities. There's also several rather large dormitories in case of emergencies but are well appointed and furnished for longtime use like an upscale vault. Currently the only residents down there are the robots, droids, Curie, Mission and Serana. Technically Serana stays in the bunkhouse but she says it is still uncomfortably bright in there during the day. Mission said the dormitories down below remind her of 'upscale' spaceship cabins only without much of a veiw or living in the undercity of some world."

Gwen shook her head. "Sorry if it seemed like we were complaining. These accommodations are just fine I think."

Neo shrugged and shook her head pointing at them and texting. [We want you to feel at home because that's where you are now]

"Thank you all," Gwen said. "We appreciate that!"

Penny smiled. "You are very welcome! It is also why you get priority sleeping in the master bedroom for awhile though that may take getting used to... what is funny?"

They told them how they had talked Walt into basically buying almost the same bed in Marvel for the Greymalkin Homestead/Old Xavier School so they could get used to the idea... and so the girls could have similar sleeping arrangements when they came to Marvel for a visit too!

They all had a good laugh and smiled. Seemed like everyone was trying to be considerate and welcoming on both sides!

"Lita, Ahnassi, Ada, T3" Penny said. "we can get them all settled in while you attend the meeting with Walter. Then we can show you ladies around some. Sound good?"

"Sounds good."

"Sorry for the delay, Walter."

Walt smiled watching them join him and several of the others. "No worries. Everything going well?"

T3-M4 whistled in the affirmative.

Walt nodded. "Good. I'm not quite done yet with Marvel but we'll likely be moving on to the next instances to explore starting next week. Some of them will be much easier to explore than Marvel was by their smaller non-multiversal states... but I realized this extended stay in Marvel how important and nice it was to have companions along or at least someone to "come home to" during the down time."

He looked around at the people gathered. "Some of you either are from those worlds or worlds just like them or very similar to them. I was wondering if any of you would like to accompany me to some of those places when I do?"

Mission excitedly raised her hand. "I'm in! I definitely want to go with you when we explore my setting! You need us, Revan!"

T3-M4 excitedly whoops and chirps. HK-47 gives a robotic sigh. "They're right, Master. You have a propensity for finding trouble. Which means you will likely need some help to 'pacify' meatbag locals."

Ed-E plays a triumphant fanfare whike Sergeant RL-3 gives a "Hooah! Looking forward to seeing some action, Sir!" Ada, PAM and KL-E-O with them.

Curie smiled also. "You know my anser. Eet will be nice to travel ze Wasteland together again. Will we only be seeing the Commonwealth?"

Walt shook his head. "No, we'll likely be traveling all around from the west to the eastcoast when we do go. Thankfully, while a lot of ground to cover, the areas to search are somewhat smallish depending on the instance on your settings. Same with those of you from Nirn. We'll likely only have to visit Tamriel and not places beyond it's borders much... Lydia, Aela and Serana if you come with me to Skyrim you do look a bit different from your 'stock' selves so maybe some basic disguises might be in order and it likely wouldn't be an issue."

They nod as do Lifts-Her-Tail and Ahnassi though... "We'll also go," Lifts-Her-Tail says. "Though Ahnassi is not certain how much help we'll actually be, yes?" Ahnassi asks.

Haruna nodded. "I had the same concern. I'm not a combatant or an adventure type. I'm not certain how much actual use I would be."

Pirotess smirked. "And is there a world where a goblin and a darkelf would fit in? Wouldn't that just make things harder for you?"

Walt chuckled. "Possibly but the worlds I would explore with you are almost as bad as Marvel... but there I can "cheat" to some rather extreme levels. Which will cut down on time and while I might get a funny look or two with a goblin, a darkelf or a dragon girl they won't be extremely noteworthy... and like I said for you non adventures I won't be dragging you away to danger filled dungeons. It'll just be nice to have someone there waiting at 'home' in-between investigations. That said no one has to go. I'm actually worried about what I'll find in some of those 'fantastic" ones."

Ilulu laughed. "Well it sounds fun to me! I'm in!"

Merida nodded. "Aye! Aye'd liek a guid adventure, meself... I'm in!"

Walt nodded and smiled just a tiny bit but his tone was serious. "Aye... but there's no need for anyone who isn't comfortable with the idea tagging along either. There's plenty of time to think about things and come up with either a positive or negative reason for ones self." He smiled. "And there's to be no blame for anyone who doesn't want to go. I'm simply inviting some of you to come along and take a trip."

Lifts-Her-Tail, Ahnassi and Haruna smile and nod. "I think I changed my mind," Haruna said smiling. "A working vacation might be kind of nice."

"As your headmaid my place is by your side and wherever you call home, Master," Lita smiled.

Ahnasi smiled too. "And the thought of taking a trip with Walter is also pleasant." She purred. "Can't work all the time... perhaps we shall even have the opportunity for picking flowers, yes?"

Walt chuckled. "Perhaps and that's what I had realized. As much as I loved Marvel... I grew homesick. I didn't have that problem before when this home was empty." He smiled ruefully. "Infact it might have been something I was "running away" from looking back on it. But it's different now... and that's because all of you are here in it. It's not the same "home" without you."
