Rogue Amazons

"Do you ever think about the patriarchy?" Tonya Wong said.

The petite Asian had led Lois Lane to the elevator in the back of the club. Once the door had slammed shut and they began to move, the nearly naked young woman had literally cornered Lois. The reporter found herself pinned in the far corner of the elevator, small hands slipped into the back waistband of the reporter's pants so that Tonya could grope Lois Lane's ass, and her body was pressed against the reporter's.

Then and only then did Tonya Wong spring her question, in a kind of breathy urgency.

"All the time," Lois Lane said. The answer came by instinct. "Can't get away from it, after all."

"What if you could!?" Tonya said, and Lois felt the crotch of those cut-off booty shorts straddle her thigh. "What if you could get away from Man's World entirely? Go somewhere with none of those phallic politics. No glass ceilings, no expectations based on your gender. Somewhere you could be all you could be."

Lois Lane stared down at the young woman. There was an earnestness on her face that the reporter hadn't expected to see. The kind of fervent need she associated with religious converts.

"You're serious," Lois said.

Tonya nodded.

"I mean, it sounds great, but are you talking about some kind of commune, or..."

"You've heard of Themyscira?" Tonya said.

Lois blinked. That was the isle of the Amazons.

"As in Wonder Woman? Yes..." Lois said. "It's a hidden island in the Mediterranean."

"Not all of the Amazons are from Themyscira. There are colonies. One of them was Bana-Mighdall, in the Middle East. They worshipped different goddesses there...like Bast. But it was the same. A society of women. Where women can be women. No men. Only...they need more women..."

The reporter swallowed heavily. The pieces fell into place, and she didn't like the picture. Someone was trying to recruit Amazons. Lois doubted the real Amazons would be behind this scheme, but that left the question open as to who was really behind this.

"Sounds great," Lois Lane said with a smile, a moment before the elevator stopped. "Where do I sign up?"

Tonya grinned. "Not so fast. There's a test first...a trial."
