Kendi Kosongo looked at Amanda with wide eyes. His jet black skin coursed with muscles. And in his sweatpants, you were sure you could see what you thought was his thigh twitch.
"You're serious?" he asked you both.
"We are," Amanda said, giving him her brightest smile. "We didn't end on the best terms in high school, Kendi. I think we owe it to each other to at least right that ship."
He hugged her tight. She looked like a child being swept up into his dark muscular expanse. And then he shook your hand, with a hint of a smirk. He was still your rival, you knew.
