Chapter 2 by Throne65 Throne65

Oh, how wrong they are!

Halloween

The Tower's living room had taken all day to decorate, but the end result was worth it. Robin looked with pride as Starfire finished hanging the "Happy Halloween" banner above the entrance.

"Perfect, Star!" Robin praised. "That looks great!"

Starfire smiled and flew towards the table, where Cyborg was setting up a face-painting station. "I much like your war paint, Cyborg!"

Cyborg couldn't help but laugh. "Nah, this isn't war paint, Star. It's kind of like make-up."

"Oh! Like the kind Raven never wears?" Starfire asked.

"More like movie makeup, Star," Beast Boy answered. He was seated on the couch playing through a horror game.

Raven looked up from her book as she tried to ignore Beast Boy's game. "Don't you al think we're a little, you know, old for this?"

"Old for what?" Beast Boy asked. "Having a good time?"

"For celebrating a kid's holiday," Raven explained. "We have goofy pumpkins on our front door that no one visits, we're setting up a face-paint studio, and Cyborg and Beast Boy plan on going trick-or-treating later. We're all adults by now."

"Raven, you're never too young to have a good time," Robin said.

"He is right," Starfire added. "On my planet, my people have a similar tradition whenever a successful hunt is completed. Children and their families who have supplied the warriors may ask for meat from the beast as a thanking present."

"That's both awesome and kinda gross," Beast Boy said.

"Not sure if you should be saying anything," Cyborg chastised. "You just blew up a zombie by shoving dynamite up its butthole."

"Oh, yeah!" Beast Boy laughed and continued his game.

Raven rolled her eyes and went back to her horror novel. Sure, maybe Robin had a point, but wasn't there anything for adult superheroes to do on Halloween?

What happens next?
