To her new room

After entering our home, Macy points to a door upstairs. It’s the door to what was our guest bedroom, but now there is a sign on the door that says in a very feminine, flowery cursive, Deedee. Still holding my hand she leads me upstairs, to the door and she opens it and we head inside. Macy turns the lights on.

The walls of the room are colored a pastel pink and the floor is carpeted in a bright pink color. There is an extremely large crib in the corner, I assume to fit me. There is also a large changing table beside one wall, with drawers underneath it. There is also a large pink chest.

“Welcome to your new room, I guess,” Macy says.

I type on the phone that I don’t want to stay in this room and that I should still sleep in our bed with her. I show her this and she reads it.

“No,” Macy says, “First of all, I’m not gay. I don’t want to sleep in the same bed as another woman. Second of all, Miss pottypants, I don’t want you to have an accident in our bed. That crib is for babies so it can probably handle an accident or two so you will sleep in it.”

I start typing something out on the phone, but Macy keeps talking, “I have some important grown-up stuff to do. I don’t care what you do, go watch TV downstairs or something, but do not sit on the couch or you’ll get another spanking.”

I try to show her my message on the phone, but she just walks away, ignoring me completely. With nothing else to do I decide to explore more of my new room. When checking the drawers under the changing table I find tons of disposable diapers, there is even a magazine catalog advertising large cutesy diapers for adults. I suppose this is so she can get more when we run out. Another drawer has both powders and creams, to help prevent diaper rash and some to treat it. There is a trash can that can be pulled out of the wall nearby, which I assume is meant to be a diaper pall, maybe having it in the wall like that prevents the smell from being too strong. In the chest are just a bunch of toys for babies, blocks with letters on them, stuffed animals, rattles, and a lot more. If I actually was a baby who wanted to play with these I’d consider myself spoiled. I head over to the closet and open it to see tons more cutesy baby dresses of varying styles and colors all hung up. I guess these would be my sole outfits for the foreseeable future. I sigh and head downstairs.

Before heading to the living room I decide to see if the kitchen is any different and find a large high chair. I don’t know why I’d need that when I could just sit in a normal chair. I notice one of our cabinet doors is open, maybe from Macy checking it and I look in it. Inside it are a few bibs, all in pink, some baby food, and baby bottles. The baby food bothers me, I really don’t want to eat it and I’m not sure why I would need to but it being there at all worries me.

All this walking has tired me out again, reminding me of my new lack of stamina and I walk over to the living room. Heeding my wife’s warning I avoid the couch and consider sitting on the floor when I realize there is a large baby bouncer by the wall. I wheel it closer to the TV and with a little hesitation put my legs in it. It doesn’t really keep me off the floor because otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to get out of it on my own. With the remote in my hand, I turn the TV on, hoping to forget about life for a while. I don’t really pay attention to how long it’s been when my wife joins me in the living room. She grabs the remote and shuts the TV off.
