At the Wedding Pt 15

"Well?"

Charles Gardner drops King Myand’r's arm after checking his pulse and it falls limply to the ground next to Myand’r's vacant face who gives a belch. "He's fine!"

"Good show, old boy!" Rog claps Walt on the shoulder.

Hoofer starts handing out winnings to the bettors as Rog gives Walt his cut. Walt looks at it all. No wonder the fellas were excited. Rog and Hoofer must have made out like bandits! He takes the money from his winnings and passes it to Charles. "Chuck stick this in Jimbo's luggage for me? They can blow it on their honeymoon or use it to fix up the house."

Charles grins. "Yeah you got it! What'll you do with the rest?"

Walt looks at the claim tickets, vouchers and IOUs. "No idea. I don't know what some of this stuff is to be honest. Guess I'll have to add it to my 'to do' list. You guys see anything y'all can use or something Jimbo might like, take it." He detects the aura of the unusal items and pockets them then passes over the pile of papers and scripts as well as other assorted gems, jewelry, keys and other things to Neo. "You can work it out with my partner here. Help her figure what's what and from whom to collect."

Neo grins. She nodded. Even giving away all the cash there was quite the pile of booty. Charles, Rog and then Hoofer start immediately pointing things of interest to her.

"Oh, these are classics. Walt will like these right here..." "These are nice but he's got three of them in his personal fleet already. I'll give you a check for it. No, no I'll pay what it's worth..." "The lady over there next to the elf is who you'll have to talk to. I'd be happy to introduce you. It's a wonderful little winery..."

Walt excuses himself to head to the facilities but pauses to speak with the queen. "I'd be happy to carry Myand’r someplace he'll be comfortable or-"

Queen Luadn'r shook her head. Blackfire did too. They really looked alike. Both girls looked a lot like their mother."He's a Tamaran warrior before he's King. He's not critical. It would be disgraceful to leave the field of competition."

Walt nodded. "Well it's disgraceful for me to leave a fallen friend behind..."

Queen Luand'r smiled. "I see. The wisdom of X'hal you are possessing... then as the victor the honor is yours. You may leave the field of competition together."

Walt slings one of Myand’r's arms around his shoulder and takes him back to their table and in his chair. He then excuses himself.

Leaving the facilities, and ignoring the sounds of several someone's having sex within, he waves to one of the Gardner Nurse Joys talking with Jay and Silent Bob. *Ah,* he thought. *That must be the "Weed Dispensary Joy" I heard about.*

Passes Charles on his way to the gift pile with Daisy who was animatedly chatting with Pyrrha. Daisy stops him.

"Walt I just wanted to thank you for bringing so many fun ladies with you," she grinned. "I've been having a wonderful time with them all! Pyrrha and I were just talking about our band days and I was recommending Metal to her."

Pyrrha smiles. "It's been truly wonderful for us too, Daisy."

Walt smiled as well and waved back to Bowsette and Bowie waving at them in the distance. "That makes me happy Dee. You know yall are like family to me. I'm actually enjoying myself more than usual and thing's havent taken a turn-"

Pyrrha is startled as a scaled head with lots of teeth bared pops out of the bushes directly next to them with a reptilian roar. The surprise actually freezes her a moment... but not Walt and Daisy!

Turning together as one they both sock the surprising monstrosity right in the teeth hard!

*Pow!* *Wham!* *Thud!*

The raptor hits the ground. "Nevermind," Walt said with a sigh. "Trouble. Not clever enough girl."

Daisy shakes her head and dinosaur blood and teeth off of her fist. "It's rude to interrupt and butt into a conversation," she chastised the **** Dino. "Oh drat... and I liked these gloves too..."

Walt kicked the dinosaur with the toe of his boot to make sure it was really down and out of the fight. "I take it yall didn't invite any dinos or reptites?" He sees Daisy shake her head and he nods. "And where there's one raptor-"

There's the growing sound of growling, paniced shouting and more as the chaos starts to errupt. "There's bound to be more," Daisy says finishing the thought. "Walt you're an animal expert and you dealt with dinosaurs during the war as well as joined us on jurassic adventures. Can I trouble you to help out an eensy bit?" She sees Pyrrha's confusion. "Walt was in the cavalry."

Pyrrha blinked. "I thought he was airborne."

Walt nodded. "Amongst other things. Operation Dino Drop was one of mine. Nothing throws the enemy ranks into confusion like a sudden dinosaur problem... which is what we got here. Granted they're only raptors. Too small. Still they might surprise a couple folks. Sure I'd love to help Dee. I'll get my lariat and the horses." He whistled loudly and heard a neigh and hoofbeats.

Pyrrha nodded. "What's the plan?"

Walt nodded too. "Pyrrha we can use your semblance to make some metal corals for the varmints. Dee can you make your way back and shoo them away from any youngsters and noncombatants and organise things from there? Then we'll have folks start push 'em back this way."

Daisy smiled happily cracking her knuckles. "You read my mind! We have defenses set up around the family table that will keep the little ones safe."

Walt chuckled. "Alright. Friday relay the general plan. Looks like it's roundup time come early!" He smiled as Teddy and some of the other horses galloped onto view stopping infront of them. He and Pyrrha mounted up as some of his other riders quickly joined them. "Lucky really... I even got my branding irons in the truck. The old "Crazy G" brand is bound to be in there somewhere!"
