Chapter 70 by Orlog4 Orlog4

Do you want to talk to one of the guys?

To the two guys (Pink Princess)

The guys who offered you the pink princess were first. And the drink is tasty too. In your opinion, they deserve a talk. Who knows, maybe they can be new friends or at least a good distraction for the night. So, you take your drinks and head over to the table. The guys seem to be happy that you accepted their invitation. One is a tall guy with a stylish shirt and an expensive looking watch, the other one is shorter than you, a little chubby and wears glasses.

“Good evening,” you greet the two, “so, you are the two guys I have to thank for my drink. I’m Ashley.”

“I’m Gavin, this is Albert,” the guy with the watch says and smiles, “we saw you and thought you are cute. I said it could be worth a try, but Albert here hasn’t expected you to actual come over to us.”

“I didn’t mean it bad,” Albert defends himself a little shy, “it’s a pleasant surprise. I had no idea it would work.”

You don’t blame Albert to be shy. You know about your beauty and Albert is clearly a typical bully victim. He is not ugly or a freak, but he lacks self-confidence and in a town like this, where corruption and **** rules and the girls are mostly victims or superficial sluts, it can’t be easy for a guy like him. Gavin on the other hand, understood some time ago, that he has to act and look like the jerks to not become a victim. You can see he is not nearly as self-assure as he acts. But he thinks dressing and acting like a successful guy will improve his chances. Maybe it even does.

“Well, then tell me something about you,” you demand and smile encouraging, “what are you doing for living and why are you here tonight?”

“I study,” Gavin answers immediately and you believe him, “I’m in the last semester of my architecture studies. And I helped a classmate with his work. He has some connections and put us on the guest list as thanks.”

“I studied too,” Albert adds a little hasty to not stay outside of your conversation, “computer science. I finished my studies several months ago. Now I work in … well, it’s hard to explain. It is an office that assists its customers, sometimes even the government, in digital questions. But I’m afraid I can’t tell you much more.”

You nod understanding. You suspect that Albert is a kind of clerk who helps companies and authorities with digitization. A safe and honest job, but a bit boring for most people. That's probably why he described it so awkwardly. And Gavin is an architecture student which is quite normal.

“Well, that sounds nice,” you say, “I just moved to this town recently. My … half-brother suggested this club since he knows some people. I’m a student too. I study medicine and on Monday I have my first day in the new university.”

“That’s nice,” Gavin replies and smiles, “maybe we see each other sometimes in the future. Which university are you going?”

“Sunset Hills institute of high education,” you answer, “but I know little about this place.”

“The elite university?” Albert asks and you are not sure if he is shocked or impressed, “incredible, I could never afford to study there. Gavin and I were at a … less prestigious university.”

“Yes, you could say this,” Gavin mumbles a little uncomfortable, “you have to be quite rich when you can afford to study there and visit clubs like this.”

“Well, It turned out my dad is rich,” you answer and shrug your shoulders, “I lived with my mom for most of my life and didn’t knew him.”

This conversation takes a way you are not sure you like. Neither do you want to brag with your family’s fortune, nor do you want to get these guys on bad ideas. You should probably try to change the subject.

What do you want to do?
