Apologies

"Olivia, what the hell were you trying to do back then?!", Liam immediately asked me as soon as class ended.

"I-I don't know what came over me, I didn't even realize my hand was on your thigh... I'm sorry", I said again.

"Look, I know you've just discovered a new... facet of life, but there are times and places where it is appropriate and others where it isn't", he stated sternly. "In the classroom during a lecture is definitely not one of those, especially when you're already lacking behind in your studies."

It almost felt like I was back to being a little girl being told off by my Dad for doing something wrong. "I know! It's just that... since knowing that you are now my tutor, I... I can't stop thinking about doing it... ", I confessed. Leaning closer to Liam to make sure nobody else from the quickly-emptying classroom could hear, I whispered in his ear, "I know it's early in the day but my vagina is aching for some attention."

Despite trying his best to keep a serious face, Liam couldn't hide the smile creeping up. "I'll forgive you for now since it is the first time it happens. But I'm not joking, you should really try to pay more attention in class."

I nodded meekly.

"Now, it seems that there is an emergency to settle, should we go back to your place?", he asked with a smirk.

I bit my lower lip. As much as I wanted to rush back home and impale myself on his pole, I couldn't leave Jina hanging like that. I had to see her, else I feared for our friendship. Bros before hoes, I thought. Or whatever the female equivalent is. Chicks before dicks, maybe?

Anyway, I handed Liam the key to my apartment and told him to wait for me there. "I need to meet a friend first, I'll be home as soon as I'm done", I murmured, giving his firm rod a good squeeze before leaving the classroom.

Sitting on a bench in front of the library, Jina was waiting for me just as we had agreed. With some apprehension still left after last night's conversation, I quickly made my way and sat next to her.

"Hey", I greeted her.

"Hey", she replied nonchalantly, "how is it going?"

"Pretty good day so far", I told her truthfully. "You?"

"Pretty shit day, actually", she sighed, her face as stoic as ever. I must have looked visibly concerned, because she added, "Don't worry about it, nothing you can do to help."

"Are you seeing Liam today?", she asked.

"Yeah, I'm seeing him right after actually", I admitted.

"I see... "

There was a brief pause in the conversation. I didn't know where to take it, Jina didn't seem particularly fussed about making small talks.

Finally, after a while, she finally continued, "Look Olivia, I called you here to apologize about last night. I'm not... very good at doing that", she grimaced, "but I'm truly sorry for the way I talked to you yesterday. I'd fully understand if you are mad at me... and... and don't want to be friends anymore... ", she trailed off blandly, her eyes looking away into the distance.

I didn't respond. There was no need to respond. The simple act of a hug was enough to make my feelings clear.

"Thank you", Jina murmured in my ear, suppressing a sniffle. For the first time, I felt some warmth coming from her. Was she crying? Who knows. I didn't care. The only thing that mattered was my friend, whom I hugged as tightly as I could.

I don't know how long we stayed like that exactly, but we must have been causing a scene because as we finally let go of each other, I realized the several sets of eyes that were gazing upon us.

"Sorry about that, I know you don't like getting too much attention", I giggled.

"I'll make an exception for today", Jina smiled. A genuine, warm-hearted smile that completely took my breath away. "Thanks again, Olivia, for being my friend", she hugged me once more. Standing up, she added, "I won't hold you for too long", pausing a bit before continuing, "I know I snapped at you last night but... if you're free later this week, I wouldn't mind... listening to your story."

"For you to call me a slut again?", I teased her.

"I promise I won't this time", she replied. "Well, I'm late for class, I'll talk to you later", Jina quickly excused herself before running off.

I also didn't stay for too long, knowing that Liam was waiting for me at home. I walked back with a beaming smile on my face. If I was having a good day so far, it was now a great day. And it was only about to get better...
