Bottoms Up Bar

Your haste suddenly evaporates as you stand at the entrance of the Bottoms Up Bar. You'd heard much about this place, and the fact that life had dropped you far enough to consider stepping foot in there made you shudder. The only thing that gave you the courage to step through those doors was the alley in which you stood scared you more than the bar itself.

Your blood ran cold as you stepped inside, like a cliche movie scene, the regulars turned to look at you as you walked through the crowded center. Rough unfriendly characters, the lot of them. You were surprised none of them were picking their teeth with an oversized knife as they stared you down.

Strangely enough, some of the women in here were quite beautiful. Incredibly so in fact, though each one looked as though they'd just as soon flay you alive than give you the time. Even they stared at you as you approached the bar, eyes like knives cutting into your flesh.

"You are definitely in the wrong place kid." A bar tender who looked like he'd wrestled a meet mincer a few more times than he should have. "I suggest you make a quick turn about before you get hurt... Preferably before the boys behind you close the gap..."

You looked around and realized some of the ratty characters behind you were beginning to close in. "I'm here for a gig. Anything, I'll take on anything" you blurted in a panic.

"You won't survive a job kid, I doubt you'll survive the next 5min, you're outta luck."

You whipped around to see 3 shifty looking thugs, blades drawn bearing down on you, and fumbling for a glass to throw the scream caught in your throat as you prepared to have your gut filled with steel.

"That's about enough of that."

The thugs stopped, and you head spun as a sultry feminine voice floated over your shoulder, and switched the thugs off light a light. They pocketed their knives, and slunk back into the shadows.

Heart still pounding, you turned.
