John's search continued as he walked around the different pool areas, his eyes scanning each section for a glimpse of Jane. The tranquil atmosphere clashed with the restlessness in his chest, an urgency to find her gnawing at his thoughts.
Amidst the serene waters, he noticed two young women swimming casually, the water lapping at their bodies. One of them floated on her back, her breasts buoyantly bobbing at the water's surface. John's gaze lingered momentarily, his senses stirring in response to the sensual image. A faint twitch ran through him, a reminder of the lingering desires from his encounter with Audrey. After circling the pool's pathways, he realised that Jane was nowhere to be found. An unsettling feeling settled in his stomach as he completed another thorough sweep, double-checking each nook and cranny. The realisation hit him—Jane must have left the pool already.
A wave of concern surged through him. Did she return to the hot tub and witness the intimate scene between him and Audrey? The thought raced through his mind, propelling him into action. Anxious urgency fuelled his steps as he hurriedly walked around, his eyes darting in every direction, searching for any sign of Jane.
He checked the hangers for her robe or towel, a glimmer of hope that she might be in one of the spa's facilities. The saunas, showers, and steam rooms were all possibilities, and he scanned each one with growing desperation.
