The Grey Lady

Jeff’s target wasn’t far into the town according to the fruit merchant. After the destruction of the village she was one of the primary targets for the Akatsuki but it appeared that they captured her rather then remove her as a threat to their plans though based on the story the merchant had told him it was pretty clear to Jeff why they had done that instead. In **** she would have been a martyr to those that continued to fight from the shadows but releasing her into the world once they had finished with her as a living warning to anyone that considered resistance was far more effective. Once Jeff saw his target for the first time he knew that the Akatsuki of this world were far more viscous then those of the standard universes.

Tsunade was a literal shell of her former self. The once proud 5th Hokage now was **** to live on the streets begging for scraps of food and water to survive the horrors of this new world. The jutsu that she used to maintain her youthful appearance was clearly not active as she looked like a much older woman then her actual age would suggest. On her neck Jeff could see a sealing mark that he knew was designed to suppress the victim’s chakra to a point they couldn’t use it to perform any kind of jutsu. He’d seen similar sealings used in the prime world on unruly kunochis that tried to attack their owners. A small group of children were surrounding her and calling her names. Some had started to through dirt and small pebbles at her yet Tsunade didn’t try to chase them off or even ask them to stop. She just looked at the ground and began to cry. “Get out of here you kids leave this woman alone’ Jeff shouted at the children. They looked up at him some of them motioned to leave until a young boy shouted at him “ this old hag deserves to be treated like this since she failed the village and made us have to live in these shacks, my daddy died fighting to save us yet here she is a pathetic mess crying for her mommy, she’s pathetic.” The children looked back at Jeff after this comment one little girl took the opportunity to look at Tsunade and gave her the bird. Tsunade hadn’t stopped looking at the ground or crying in despair. Jeff got angry at this show “ I said for you all to leave if you don’t I’ll make you. Go help the others out and turn this town into a better place to live. That will make everyone feel better in the long run then taking out your anger on this poor woman. She’s suffered more then any of you could ever bare.” After this the children began to leave some clearly touched by what he said and others just not wanting to be in trouble with an adult. Jeff turn his attention back to Tsunade. He reached down to scoop her up in his arms and she didn’t try to stop him. Tsunade obviously didn’t care what intentions he had for her she just continued to stare into oblivion.
