Chapter 2 by Trom1806 Trom1806

You are distracted from thinking and you decide:

Walk around the city.

You decide to take a walk around the city. You walk along the streets of the California city of Hautenville, you look at passers-by and at various shops, cafes and signs of organizations. It is easy to see that the city is dominated by the black population, and it is also clear that your college and hostel are located near the outskirts of the quarters, in which the level of well-being is quite low.

You pass a small cafe with a sign that says "Lovely Sweets", and you see a small grocery store a little further down the street. You remember that you have almost no money left and that there is also little food left in the refrigerator in the dorm room. You are not very foresighted. You did not find any work (even for a shortened working day) - you hoped that relatives would send enough money - it turned out that this was not so.

There is still a long way to go (about two weeks) for money from Aunt Martha, and it will go entirely to pay for your college education.

What are you to do?
