Dinner with the family

Lauren began eagerly shoveling food on her plate, feeling a gnawing hunger. As she began eagerly munching on fried chicken her mother noticed her enthusiasm.

"Lauren, don't eat like a pig!" Her mother chided. "I swear, the way you stuff yourself, I have no idea how you stay so thin!"

Lauren cringed, both at being called out as a pig and because she was not nearly as thin as people thought. She wished she had her Spanx, and glanced down to make sure her baggy shirt and pajama pants hid any unsightliness.

Lauren **** herself to eat more civilly, though she ate far more than the rest of the family. Stuffed and exhausted from the day, she left the table to go to her 'room' to go to sleep... unfortunately, her room was the living room. So, instead she had to share the couch with her Step brother while he played video games and she tried to loose herself in her phone.

"Yeah, Lauren's back." She looked up, hearing him say into his headset. "You should stop by."

"Hey, don't tell your little nerd friends anything about me!" Lauren complained.

Dennis just grinned.

"I'll tell my friends anything I want." HE said, leaving Laure fuming.

Finally, after video games and her step father drank a beer and watched the news (Lauren really wanted a drink, but knew there was no point in asking him) she had the living room to herself. Laying her short frame on the couch she was soon fast asleep...
