Chapter 148 by 280tcove 280tcove

It's time to get some answers.

The Peculiar Case of the Vanishing Violet

In case you haven't been able to tell by now, Violet and I are pretty close. Even before we started dating, we talked to each other all the time. By this point, there are no secrets between us. I mean, I told her about the Random Remote for crying out loud. If that's not a sign of trust, I don't know what is. Even when Violet is planning a surprise, she tells me she has something cooking beforehand (although that's mainly because she loves to tease me with that kind of stuff...). I find it highly unlikely that she would just up and disappear without saying anything to me.

All that being said, if there's going to be anyone who knows something about Violet that I don't, it's her roommate. You would think that since they live together, Bianca might be able to tell me some kind of worthwhile information. And since it's Monday, that means we're supposed to be eating lunch together. Let's just hope that my little robot didn't also go missing.

I breathe a sigh of relief as I walk into the cafeteria and see Bianca waiting on a bench. Never have I appreciated her newfound punctuality as much as I do right now. As I start to approach her, I suddenly hear Violet's voice in my head telling me to make sure I use the remote first. You've got to be kidding me. Now? There's more important stuff to deal with, like finding out what's going on with the real Violet. And yet, the voice keeps nagging at me each time I try to get closer. Eventually, it becomes too much to deal with.

"Alright, fine. I'll check first. I swear, sometimes I wonder who messed with whose mind," I mutter to myself while pulling out the remote.

And as much as I hate to admit it, the Violet in my head was right. Bianca does have another attribute ready to go. It's still not really a good time to test it out, but I guess I can at least go ahead and unlock it.

- SELECTED TARGET: BIANCA ROMANO -

New Attribute Unlocked

SEX-POWERED

The target no longer requires food, water, or sleep to survive. Instead, the target will gain energy by engaging in sexual activities with others. In addition, the target will be significantly more proficient at any task they attempt to perform immediately after engaging in some kind of sexual activity.

Congratulations! Target BIANCA ROMANO has now completed their identity transformation!

Well then. That's certainly an interesting ability. I highly doubt Bianca will ever run low on battery given how much sex is in her future. And this pairs really well with the last attribute that she got that makes her unable to refuse sexual requests. Makes you wonder if these level fours would look different if I went down the other branching paths.

While that might be a fun thought experiment for another day, right now I need to focus on the task at hand. And now that I don't have to worry about checking Bianca for attributes anymore, I can get started without anything else getting in my way.

I walk up to Bianca, who hops to her feet when she notices me approaching. It looks like she's about to greet me, but I interrupt her and get straight to the point.

"We really need to talk," I tell her.

She gives me a slight look of confusion, though it's probably as much of a face as she can make given how robotic she is at this point. Even just her walking around seems to attract some glances from passerby. Yeah, it's a good thing we stopped her from going to class. Perhaps it's about time to keep her inside just in general. Anyway, after realizing how serious I am, she nods and the two of us find a place to sit.

"Do you know where Violet is?" I ask once we sit down. "I haven't seen her all day."

"Wait, she is not with you?" She responds with more concern in her tone than she normally does at this point. "I assumed she was staying over at your place for a few days."

"A few days?! When was the last time you saw her?"

"She left the apartment Saturday morning. I tried to ask where she was going, but she just said she had somewhere important to be and left. I have not seen her since. She even left her phone," Bianca explains.

Immediately, I feel a knot form in my stomach. That's why she never responded to my text. She hasn't had her phone on her all weekend. But where the hell did she go? And why didn't she tell anyone? All of those feelings of anxiety I felt when I stepped off the bus this morning suddenly show back up twice as strong as before. I can't help but feel like something bad happened to her.

"Is there anything else you know?" I ask Bianca.

"I do not believe so. I just assumed that the two of you had planned a weekend away together or something. Or at least I hoped that was what happened," she admits.

"Come on, Bianca. Try to think. Surely you noticed something before she left."

"Well..." Bianca ponders. "It did seem to me like she was acting a bit odd for about a day beforehand."

"Odd how?"

"She seemed... not like herself. As if something was bothering her, but she could not say it. In fact, I remember her asking me to perform cunnilingus on her on Friday night, but despite trying my absolute hardest to please her, she did not seem as into it as she usually is."

Wait, Violet wasn't into getting her pussy eaten? Now I know something's wrong. I feel like half the time I talk to Violet, she's talking about how much she wants someone to eat her out (and the other half is usually about how much she wants my dick). Not to mention that Bianca is literally an oral master now. Okay, that's it. I'm not waiting around anymore. I can't. Not when my girlfriend could be in trouble. I need to do something.

I suddenly spring into action, jumping out of my seat and making my way out of the cafeteria. I'm not even completely thinking about what I'm doing. It's like I just snapped into acting on instinct. Luckily though, I do manage to think long enough to stop myself before actually leaving. I kind of just abandoned Bianca, didn't I? I should probably say something to her before I leave or she might think I just disappeared for no reason too.

As I walk back to her, I realize something else. If Violet hasn't been home for over two days, who knows when she'll get back? No Violet means no one to have sex with Bianca. And I just made it so Bianca needs sex to function. That's... problematic. The last thing I need right now is Bianca powering down while she's alone in her apartment. As I reach the table where she's still sitting, I realize what I have to do.

"Listen, Bianca. I'm going to go get help and see if I can figure out where Violet is. But I don't think you'll be safe by yourself right now. Why don't you come stay at my place until all of this is sorted out?"

"What? I cannot just up and move without warning. What about all of my stuff? And I need to be there in case Violet comes back," Bianca insists.

While that is a reasonable argument, I can't take that risk right now. I need a way to get Bianca to do what I tell her. Let me think...

Hmm. I suppose I do have that one trick. I don't exactly want to have to do that, but I don't really have another choice. I need a quick solution, and this is the best one I have. I hold up my hand directly in front of Bianca's face and...

SNAP!

Just like that, Bianca's eyes glaze over as she loses focus on everything around her.

"Now entering standby mode. Please state desired programming," she recites in monotone.

That's right. It's finally time for a new program. Violet got a ton of mileage out of that first suggestion, and I hate to potentially erase all of that work, but like I said, I have to. Hopefully some of those subliminals are buried deep enough down there that they manage to stick even despite this. I also hope that this is one of those attribute that gets stronger over time. Either way, I have to at least try.

"Bianca, I want you to go to my house and stay there," I say.

Perhaps I could have gone with something a bit more elaborate than that, but I can't exactly afford to be misinterpreted right now, so I figured I should just keep it simple. This is too important of a situation for me to mess up by being stupid. There will be time for more fun programs later.

"Command received. Implementing new program," she states a moment after I finish speaking.

A minute later, Bianca wakes up. She looks around for a moment before turning to me. It looks as if she's trying to figure something out. After a moment of thinking, she finally opens her mouth.

"Matt? What is your address? It's very important that I go to your house and stay there."

Wow. That actually worked. Thank god. I wasn't actually sure if it would. I guess that PROGRAMMABLE attribute really has gotten stronger. I send my address to Bianca, and as soon as she receives it, she takes off. She doesn't even bother saying goodbye. I also go ahead and send a message to Liz to let her know to expect another guest. She tells me that's fine, though she does express concern about us running out of space, which is a fair point, but it's just not something I have time to deal with right now.

Now that I have that taken care of, it's time to launch an investigation. Unfortunately, I don't have the slightest clue where to start in a situation like this. But there is someone I know who does. It's time to bring this to Helen.

What happens when you get to Helen's office?
