Emma walks to her first class

Emma stepped out of her room and walked purposefully toward her classes. She'd made notes about where each one was located throughout the day and walked outside and straight to her first class. The excitement of starting school was almost overwhelming.

She appreciated how pretty the campus was as she walked along the sidewalk. Tall trees stood everywhere, and the morning sun lit them nicely. Old buildings with impressive architecture lined the street. She loved the way everything looked.

And there were so many people. The campus was alive with other students, all walking to different classes. Young men and women from all walks of life were everywhere, it was so busy, and for a small-town girl like Emma, it was a little overwhelming.

Two young men approached her on the sidewalk, walking toward her on their way to their own classes. One of them, very handsome Emma thought, looked at her and smiled.

Emma blushed and hurried past them to get to her class, a little embarrassed at the attention.

Finally, Emma arrived at the building where her first class was and stepped inside, still thinking about the boy that had smiled at her on the way.
